Had an A5 as a loaner a couple of days ago since I had to drop my RS6 off for oil change and firmware update. Little A5 was surprisingly good. As with most Audi's getting in feels like closing a bank vault door-very solid feel and fantastic sound insulation. Car had the newer multi panel layout with huge center screen. Not sure which trim level it was, I think it was the mid level one. Nice heads up display too, large and easy to read. Android auto displays what your next move will be i.e. left turn arrow. I have to take back roads down to Huntsville and due to being stuck behind a semi speed around 55 MPH. I was quite blown away when I got in the city and it showed 39.5 MPG. I ran to Whole Foods first which knocked it down to 36.X when I pulled in to dealer. Car had a 4 cylinder apparently which I think is the EA888.
Hui Thunderstruck: That EA888 may be old in the tooth but it is still a darn efficient engine! And of course the A5 is a wonderful car to drive like most Audis. Maybe the 3 is a bit tight but the 5 is perfect imho. The 2026 A5 includes free-standing, 11.9" driver, and 14.5" central panoramic curved OLED displays, and an optional 10.9" MMI front-passenger display is available. Wayne
Yes, but more importantly, is it a true coupe , or a sedan that their marketing calls a coupe? What next, padded vinyl landau roof ? I do love the A5 COUPE.
Hi Edwin: They call it a Sportback. I call it the reinvention of the gorgeous A7. 2026 Audi A5 Sportback Wayne
