    Drove to holiday home late this morning as I went to see mom in the car first and my wife went to pilates. Traffic much better than recently as it’s nearly time for the kids to go back to school after 6 weeks off:

    Today it is 56 deg F in Naperville , 57 in Elk Grove

    Wind NW 2

    Due to a freight train, I took the scenic route today.
    35.2 miles, fcd = 69.4 mpg

    Edit : trip home was 34.2 miles. fcd = 83.2 mpg

    I don’t work at all ;) and didn’t drive today, did a 39 mile gravel bike ride with 3 other cyclists, very hilly, over 3,500 feet of elevation gain

    As the railroad crossing just east of me is closed during construction, I will be taking
    the scenic ( longer) route for the duration.

    34.4 miles, fcd = 77.2 mpg.
    Home at 4:00.

    Filled up, even though I was nowhere near empty. This is a BP that
    is on my way home if I take IL56. Hopefully I can use this one all the time.

    6.359 gal. stopped at first click.

    Back home via ice cream parlour for breakfast, buy some ice cream to take home and have a wander around the nature trail. A road was closed which wasn’t signposted very well which involved a backtrack :rolleyes: then we went to usual stop half way. Some slow bits but no other detours:

    Forest Preserve, then Aldi, then home.

    Today it is 49 deg F in Naperville, 51 in Elk Grove.

    33.5 miles, fcd = 66.1 mpg

    At this temperature the car only gets about 59-60 mpg (fcd) on the highway.

    Edit : Trip home.
    Left work at 2:30. Usual route to Planet Fitness
    in Naperville. After my workout, met Sarah for dinner at a place near downtown.
    I hadn't seen her for maybe nine months, so we had a lot of catching up. From
    there I took a scenic route(mostly residential roads) to get home.
    35.5 miles, fcd = 80.7 mpg.

    Trip home was 33.3 miles , fcd = 81.4 mpg
    Going to see grandchildren tomorrow, so that's
    47 miles. Sunday going to see Kelly after I work out.
    Maybe 60 miles. I will try to not drive ( car ) Monday.

    Today, I went to beautiful Minooka IL to visit daughter #2 and her family.
    Some rain on the way there , but mostly dry.
    50.4 miles, fcd = 75.9 mpg.

    This morning left the house at 6:30. Firat stop , Planet
    Fitness in Naperville for a workout that's a bit more strenuous than
    the weekday workouts. Then to downtown Lombard to pick up Kelly, then
    to the movie theater in downtown Elmhurst, then drop Kelly off, then Linda
    ( also Lombard ) to pick up a casserole dish, then home.

    53.6 miles, fcd = 77.5 mpg.

    Hopefully I won't need to drive a car tomorrow.

    Did not drive any motor vehicle Wednesday. I did take the Giant for a ride.

    Today it is 59 deg F in Naperville, 60 in Elk Grove.

    Tank is around 74, I think. I still have at least a week before I fill up.
