Audi released one hell of a doozy in the form of the all-new A6 and S6 Sportback e-tron sedans. The all-new model is by far the most aerodynamic and longest-range brand of four rings BEV ever offered.

The all-new A6 Sportback e-tron combines the the Q6 e-tron SUVs Premium Platform Electric’s (PPE) and mates it to a sedan with a get this, incredible 0.23 Cd. In RWD trim, the 2025 Audi A6 Sportback e-tron will arrive with EPA-estimated 392 miles of range on a single charge when equipped with the ultra package.

Along with the world class range, the all-new, 100 kWh (94.4 kWh useable) Li-Ion battery pack can be charged at a rate > 270 kW. With a preconditioning function built in, the A6 Sportback e-tron can achieve 10-80% battery capacity recharging in as little as 21 minutes. I suspect that result may be a bit understated and a 20-minute charge time from 5 to 80% is more than likely.

2025 Audi S6 Sportback e-tron Exterior - The A6 Sportback e-tron’s body integrates ultra-modern slim DRLs, and black mask surrounds the inverted single frame grille.

The headlamps, Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) sensors, and air intakes, are integrated into the dark mask, making them almost invisible.

To the rear, the A6 Sportback e-tron incorporates a three-dimensional light strip.

Both RWD and quattro-equipped Audi A6 Sportback e-tron models arrive with std. 20”, 5-spoke aero bicolored alloys and all-season run-flat tires, while models equipped with the ultra package receive 19”, 5-spoke alloys with all-season tires designed to improve the car’s aerodynamics.

The S6 Sportback e-tron comes with 20”, 10-spoke, bicolor alloys and all-season run-flat tires standard. Two additional 21” alloys designs are available on the S6 Sportback e-tron.

All A6 Sportback e-tron models are offered in Premium, Premium Plus and Prestige trim levels. Up to eight exterior colors are available at market launch for the 2025 model year A6 Sportback e-tron model family.

The A6 Sportback e-tron model family consists of three models, with three different power outputs; the single motor RWD A6 Sportback e-tron, the dual motor A6 Sportback e-tron quattro, and the S6 Sportback e-tron which blends performance and luxury.

2025 Audi A6 Sportback e-tron Aerodynamics

The sporty design of the all-new Audi A6 Sportback e-tron contributes to its excellent aerodynamics with an exceptionally low Cd value of 0.23.

The front includes air curtains that positively influence the flow around the front and the wheels. The greenhouse is extremely slim, and the roofline slopes towards the rear.

A controllable air intake under the grille ensures the airstream flows around this zone with minimal losses. The underbody is almost completely sealed with specially adapted 3D bumps ahead of the front wheels. A wide and aerodynamically optimized diffuser achieves the optimum balance between lift at the rear axle and Cd value.

The headlamps and rear lights have a three-dimensional design and offer digital light signatures. At the front, all Premium Plus and Prestige Audi A6 Sportback e-tron models include LED headlamps with digital DRLs standard. Prestige trim level S6 Sportback e-tron models include second-generation OLED taillamps.

On the topmost Prestige trim, eight digital light signatures are offered, allowing drivers the ability to personalize their car in a completely new way.

On Prestige trim level S6 Sportback e-tron models equipped with the digital OLED taillamps, the eight-front digital DRL signatures are paired with unique signatures at the rear. Ten OLED panels with a total of 450 segments are used in the rear lights of the S6 Sportback e-tron Prestige.

Another highlight is the inclusion of an illuminated four ring Audi logo out back. This strongly emphasizes the Audi identity.

Jesus the S6 includes one damn gorgeous dash. ​

Inside, the cockpit features the wrap-around Audi digital stage with a standard 11.9” driver and 14.5” central OLED displays with an optional 10.9” passenger display. With an active privacy mode, the front-seat passenger can watch movies, streaming content, or play games, without distracting the driver while the vehicle is in motion. In addition to the infotainment apps, the display also lets the passenger assist the driver with navigation or finding a parking space.

Buyers also have the option of equipping their cars with headrest integrated speakers that provide an excellent surround audio experience, provide navigation instructions to avoid disturbing passengers that may be sleeping. All Audi A6 and S6 Sportback e-tron models feature a panoramic glass sunroof with switchable transparency as standard.

Audi is also offering second-generation augmented reality head-up display (AR HuD) with a large, tilted image across the windshield towards the driver.

The “soft wrap” extends from door to door across the entire panel width. In contrast, the control areas are embedded into high-gloss black surrounds. The low-lying, slim air vents seem to disappear into the background.

A standard panoramic glass roof with smart liquid crystal glass minimizes direct sunlight and becomes opaque at the touch of a button.
