[IMG] A larger pack (84.0 vs 77.4 kWh and 63.0 vs 58.0 kWh) providing a small increase in range and $3,750 Fed tax credit for those that qualify are nice additions as well.

    2025 Hyundai IONIQ5

Hyundai is about to release its refreshed 2025 IONIQ 5, including a new XRT trim. The expanded lineup offers more driving range. The IONIQ 5 will be the first Hyundai model manufactured at the company’s new Hyundai facility (HMGMA) in Georgia which will allow new owners who qualify, a $3,750 Fed Tax Credit. If that lasts with the new incoming administration anyway. Hyundai anticipates the U.S.-built 2025 IONIQ 5 models to qualify for additional federal tax incentives as they move battery production and content percentage to the US as well. Namely, the new EV Battery production facility in Kingston, GA which is expected to go online sometime in 2025. Leases continue to qualify for the $7,500 credit that Hyundai fully passes onto consumers with more attractive lease offers.

The big news however is that IONIQ 5 will be the first Hyundai model to arrive equipped with the Tesla North American Charging Standard (NACS) port. This port opens 17,000+ chargers on Tesla’s Supercharger network without using an adapter, doubling the size of the DCFC’ing network. 2025 IONIQ 5 models will be sold with a free Combined Charging System (CCS) adapter. All-new or refreshed Hyundai EVs will come exclusively with a NACS port beginning in Q4 2024.

Along with the NACS adapter, the refresh also increases both actual and useable battery capacity and range across the entire lineup. Standard Range models went from 58.0 to 63.0 kWh while Long Range models went from 77.4 to 84 kWh.

    Hi Edwin:

Hyundai is currently offering $7,500 off the retail price of an Ioniq 6 and I am hearing but have not actually deep dived that dealers are offering healthy discounts off retail as well. :)
