Been watching YouTube travel videos. I do that since my walking penchant started & I travel by car very little. One series of videos, shows trips on our local Washington roads (so far). At the end of a trip over the Cascade Mountains, to Wenatchee, the vehicle conducting the trip…..was a 2011 Elantra! Giving the average velocity of the Elantra, the speed was at least 10MPH faster than I would drive (even greater?).

Anyhow, I watched more of this person’s videos, just so I can pretend to travel like I used to.

5:45AM.....Ah, things are occurring that are helping to coup with NOT driving a lot right now. The nights are presently getting longer.....& its been raining for the last 2 days, with more rain predicted for the days ahead. A large, rotating, but "loose-limbed" low pressure system, south of Ketchikan, Alaska is pumping waves of rain into Washington state. Yes, darkness & rain really curtail my urge to drive. What AM I doing? Heated up some good vegetable soup this early morning. Added some peas. Oh, yeah, ketchup too. An excellent way to combat the wet & dark. I'm going back to bed. So nice to be retired!

PS, 11:50AM....The rain stopped for a while & I got a walk in. Took the umbrella but there were only a few drops of rain. Now at the apartment, clouds are increasing. We'll see if it rains some more.

12:55PM.....Rained a little. Looks like heavier clouds are moving in for more rain.

    1:07PM.....Yeah, rain is here.
3PM.....Rain is really coming down! Looks to continue for 3 more hours, as well as the low pressure system south of Ketchikan, which may be longer.
5:35PM.....Tho the forecast states it should still be raining, the rain has nearly stopped. To the far low west, the sun is shining sweetly between clouds.
