When I got my re-geared Suzuki 450 up to 110MPH, I knew I was in trouble.....because I wasn't scared. But, I knew I was over the design limit, so got my speed back down. Remember, if you have a Get-Off at 100+ MPH:
......on the first bounce, you'll scrape half the skin off your 2 broken legs & your skull....
......on the second bounce, you'll only break 1 arm, but scrape lots more precious skin off......& on the 3rd bounce, your body will be considered a very high rpm object.

When I say "100",it's understood to be 100 MPG.
    I haven't gone 100 MPH for over 30 years.
And top speed of this bike might be 90.

Last time I moved along at over 100mph it was in a Boeing 757. The door didn't fall off so I didn't lose my carry-on bag.
When I first read, "With a little luck, I hope I can hit 100", I thought you were 99 years and 10 months old and I was going to mention that you don't look a day over 85. And I was going to also provide a caution that a large cake with 100 candles on it could set off the sprinkler system so hurry up and make a wish.

Sorry! I just remember my motorcycle accident........ NO! I don't remember my motorcycle accident. I was unconscious for 3 days. When I came awake, I also couldn't remember two days before the accident either.

Not as efficient as your last trip Bill, but I’ll take it!

Dropped wife off to meet a friend, visit mom, get some sharp sand for paving, meet back up with wife, to doctors again, back home. To nearby canal to try out my stand-up paddleboard - great fun :):

Our week-end has Saturday morning temps to 51degF & high temps not quite to 80degF with no rain. Sunday, still no rain, but high temps cooling to mid-70's. Monday may be even cooler, with rain chances increasing, but still expect OK walking weather. As I said, I lost one umbrella.....but have gained another. So, I have different 'brellas for different rain possibilities. I'm fighting these high gas prices, quite well, thank you.

PS, 7:04PM, 79degF....It got even sweeter than predicted. Even now in the evening, its the high temperature predicted.

    Pretty good, Gord.

The need for AC reminds me that I have to reinstall the inexpensive 2-piece sunshade on the Y. The RZ has been getting very warm even with temps around 60F, and no add-on sunshade yet. We'll see. Nugget and I often wait in the RZ with windows partially open while Joyce does her errands.

2nd open house today on the listing with first showings yesterday. Offer in hand, another offer with verbal terms, final decision tomorrow evening. More offers expected. Nugget and I will be inside the listing providing security and companionship for Joyce.

5-12-24: The predictions for today(Sunday) & Monday appear to stay the same & accurate. All blue sky this morning & we'll see where Sunday's high temperature actually gets to today.

I broke my favorite large red soup bowl for making up my various soup mixes. Got a strange replacement at the store, a clear glass "pot". Kind of like a Kerr glass jar, but wider. I wasn't going to buy it. But I noticed it wasn't made in communist china(always small letters), but in Indonesia. So I bought it. Made up my soup mix of condensed Vegetarian Vegetable soup, corn & diced tomatoes for the 2nd time. It has lasted for three meals & tasted good from top to bottom.

5-12-24, 5PM: Walked to the bottomland today. It hasn't been raining at all, but the river was 1 or 1.5 feet higher than my previous visit. So our 80+ degF temperature yesterday melted quite a bit of snow in the mountains. Just a beautiful day today too, with temp to 77degF.

PS, 6:33PM....Temperature still 70degF. We'll see what temp it is in the morning.

When I got home from my outing Sunday I was distracted and didn't reset my tripmeter.
This morning I noticed and reset it after driving 1.5 miles. In other words, this number will be skewed.
61 deg F in Naperville, 66 in Elk Grove.
    Wind SSW 8
    31.9 miles, fcd = 57.9 MPG.
Drove Elantra 50 miles Saturday , about 67 fcd

Time for the monthly fillup. If I fill in the morning, where the engine runs fast to preheat everything end charges the battery to near full, gassing up leads to an interesting fuel consumption display. Leaving the gas station and driving toward the office, there is more distance covered under electric propulsion, and since the tank average resets when fuel is added, the tank number is higher than trip average, which includes the warmup run.

Here's evidence that Hyundai lops off the decimal when the mpg number is three digits.

5-13-24, 6:50AM, 53degF.....There is some blue sky, but increasing clouds coming from the northwest. Tho the morning is as warm as the previous days, warm temperature today may be less than mid-60degF. Still, little chance of rain.
Having the rest of Campbell's condensed Bean & Bacon from last night. Altho I like Campbell's soup generally, the company's Bean & Bacon hasn't been my favorite. So last night I added some diced tomatoes, vinegar, & pepper. Made the soup much more palatable. Plus, the Campbell's Bean & Bacon tastes a little better than in the past. Still, Bush's Baked Beans is far superior. When faced with a choice, always buy the BBBs.

For breakfast I'm having corn, tomatoes AND PEAS! I thought adding the peas would "improve" the soup since I love peas, but it really hasn't. I love canned peas because canned peas retain their flavor as compared to fresh peas. Now I know that peas taste best when cooked by themselves & not mixed with other veggies. Maybe that's why I don't like canned mixed vegetables that much, as opposed to canned peas, tomatoes, corn, string beans, & carrots, each by themselves.

5-14-24, 2:38PM, 67degF.....Beautiful, beautiful day! Much better than predicted & should get to 69degF. Any rain again, has been put off till Thursday & even later. Went for a drive. Short, but very enjoyable.
I don't know why I am surprised that Salish Sea (Puget Sound) weather is getting nice. The sun is less than 4arcdegs from its maximum highest elevation in the sky this year & also its approaching its longest time above the horizon each day. Even now at 7+PM PDT, the temperature is 67degF.

Today, 52 deg F in Naperville,54 in Elk Grove.

    Wind NNE 11 (Lombard)

    33.4 miles, fcd = 50.1 MPG.

This wind certainly helped me on the way home yesterday. Until I got to the NE
corner of Naperville, I was up to 55.0 fcd. It definitely gets more congested from there.
I ended up at 52.0 MPG fcd. No highway ,no hybrid.
