Honda continues its US cumulative sales ascent with yet another monthly and quarterly sales increase. Honda’s US Q1 of 2024 sales of 303,451 were up 17.3% over the 284,507 sold during Q1 of 2023. Within the overall result, two highlights continue to stand out as they have for months. That being the Civic and CR-V. The Civic experienced 61,929 vehicles sold, up 36.0% over the 45,548 sold during Q1 of 2023. The CR-Vs sales results were even more noteworthy with 95,038 sold in Q1 of 2024, up a whopping 41.3% over the 67,241 sold during the same period of 2023. 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid The 2024 Accord, equipped with Honda’s award winning 2-Motor Hybrid Electric System mated to the heavily atkinsonized 2.0L I4, is key to Honda's electrification strategy. The 4th gen 2-motor hybrid system maximizes efficiency without compromising performance. This latest version of the hybrid system currently powers the 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid, the 2023 CR-V Hybrid, and possibly the all-new, upcoming all-new 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid. Honda expects this drivetrain to represent more than 50% of Accord, CR-V, and soon launched Civic Hybrid sales. The 2 powerful motors mounted side by side in the 2-motor hybrid drivetrain is entirely made by the Honda Transmission Plant in Ohio. The atkinsonized 2.0L I4 is made at the Anna Engine plant, also in Ohio. All the engine's major components have been redesigned and improved, including the block which features stronger main bearing caps, cylinder head, crank, connecting rods and camshafts. For the first time these components are manufactured at the Anna Engine Plant, improving production efficiencies, and increasing capacity. The 2.0L I4 and 2-motor system is more powerful and efficient than could have been imagined just a decade ago. The 11th gen Accord is available in six trim levels including the hybrid-powered Sport, EX-L, Sport-L and Touring. Honda's Accord design direction includes a low horizontal beltline and a longer front end. Inside, the new modern interior includes high-quality materials and Honda's largest touchscreen ever, Honda's first integration of Google built-in for seamless on-the-go connectivity plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Standard class-leading safety features include a new Honda Sensing safety and driver-assistive technology, next-gen front airbags, as well as new front knee airbags and rear side-impact airbags. The Accord reached 41,927 US drives in Q1 of 2024, down 2.1% below the 42,806 sold in Q1 of 2023. Hi All: Honda June and YTD 2024 Sales American Honda (Honda and Acura) June 2024 Sales of 112,742 were up 1.1% over the 111,498 sold in June of 2023. YTD sales of 690,281 were up 9.3% over the 631,532 sold during the same period of 2023. Honda June and YTD 2024 Sales Highlights CR-V achieved June sales of 31,710, up 1.8% over the 31,159 sold in June of 2023. This was the 5th month in a row that CR-V achieved sales of 31,000 vehicles or more. In addition, 52% of June sales were hybrids. YTD sales of 196,204 was up 18.3% over the 163,697 sold through the same period of 2023. Civic June sales reached 21,829, up 36.6% over the 15,979 sold in June of 2023. YTD sales of 129,788 were up 38.1% over the 93,845 sold during the same period of 2023. 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid Hatch The Hybrid sedan is available today, the hatch is just weeks away. 51% of Accord June sales were hybrids although just 12,597 vehicles were sold, down 29.0% below the 17,735 sold in June of 2024.
