    Thanks for starting April Daily Grind. My question, can the Daily Grind be very grinding, while in April? I don't think so. :D:)
    //////////
    7AM, 39degF,,,,Single digit chances of rain, going to 0% in latter afternoon, with temps to 62degF. Clouds will hang around, but there is no fog this morning!

    PS....I've remarked how I love peas, even canned peas. I also love fresh string beans & some other beans. Do not like canned string beans tho. They don't know how to retain the taste of string beans, when canned. Another canned vegetable that isn't good are mixed vegetables. But, mixing diced canned tomatoes with canned string beans, helps the mix become acceptable. & now I discover that diced canned tomatoes mixed with mixed canned vegetables, helps the canned mixed vegetables too.
    Also, one nice thing about canned vegetables, is I've been able to find canned goods with very low or even no salt content! When I do have mixed diced tomatoes & other vegetables with low salt, I sometimes put iodized salt in them, also.

    PS I....5:45PM, 65degF.....Oh, the day got really nice, & even at nearly 6PM, the temperature is 3deg higher than was the predicted high. Altho I had one less layer of clothes on, I was getting too warm.

    2:55AM, 45degF.....Single digit rain chances now in Salish Sea(Puget Sound). By late tonight tho, rain should be falling. Its nice there is no fog.

    PS, 10:15AM....If it rains tonight, its a sweet day today. Should get to 64degF.

    PS I, 6:10PM, .....Looks like the rain will be delayed a little. Should be some rain by late tonight, early tomorrow morning. Still nice now, but the clouds are gathering & coming in.

    PS II, 4-3-24, 1:25AM....Woke up early the next day & it is raining hard(for a while?) . So the prediction was correct, altho the rain was a bit later.

    Whoa! The Tesla 3 is really working for you! IF I could get such efficiency, while charging on 11kW L2, I could gain almost 60 miles per hour of range! That would be so great! But, I could get by, gaining 35-40 miles per hour of charging. So here's to the future & HOPE.

    Now that the re-designed 2025 Chevy Bolt is said to be over 14 feet in length, I may have to find some other EV. I heard the coming Tesla 2, 1) may be under 14 feet in length, & 2) it may be very efficient. But those are rumors only. Whatever EV I get, I need "small" for sure.

    4-3-24....The rain chances are decreasing, but since i got up at 7:30AM, the clouds have been nearly 100% here. Wouldn't you guess tho, the hills 3 & 4 miles away have been in sunshine for an hour plus now. But no sun here, at all.
    Now, I'm ready for my walk & dark clouds are rolling into the area.....low too. Tho rain chances are low, I'm taking the umbrella just to make sure it doesn't rain.

    PS, 11:10AM…..Yeah, the umbrella kept the rain away & now the sun is coming out. Predictions that it would get nice, had nothing to do with the nice weather. Ha ha :)

    I've been to Dinosaur National Monument in Utah, twice. I thought it fascinating watching the scientists study the concentrated fossils in real time(not some film). One or two decades later I was there again. Things had changed a lot. The large & extensive main concentration of fossils had been covered to protect the fossils from the weather (& the scientists too from the sun & occasional rain). More scientists than ever were studying the fossils. Again, I wasn't watching any video.

    Early prediction was no chance of rain & then low chance of rain later. The sopping rain now, clubbed the prediction into the ground.
    PS, later....Been raining for 2 hours. The chance of rain just got to 97%. :confused:

    PS I, 8:10PM....Gonna give these predictors another chance. They say decreasing chances of rain & Friday might be OK. Latter part of tomorrow, says increasing chances, so that Saturday may have some raindrops.

    8AM, 42degF....Woke up to the wet parking lot & drippy street lights showing a few raindrops. I love that there is no fog.The internet has a graphic prediction of a hill of moderate rain coming in, for the next few hours. & I can see the 4 mile distant western ridge shows more incoming moisture in the air & even small low clouds on its woods. That ridge, when there is no fog, is becoming my Goto weather forecaster. Later, should be a pleasant day.....tho cool (50degF) & cloudy.
    Good day for a walk to the Senior Center for a lunch of Shrimp Louie, some of which my doctor would not recommend. Tho I've tried to avoid a lot of the SC lunches that would put a frown on my doctor's face, I'm not confident that I have chosen alternate lunches that would remove his frown. Hey, I continue my 70+ year old habit of not smoking & drinking.

    Meanwhile, the western ridge gathers & sends my way, increasing signs that rain will be here fairly soon. Oh, yeah, the ridge is disappearing in moisture.

    PS, 8:40AM....Yes, yes, the rain is here.

    10:15AM... predictions say the rain will decrease into the afternoon, but increasingly looks like I"ll have to carry my umbrella to the SC....& may have to use it.

    PS, 11AM.....Oh, the rain is slowing! Maybe I won't need the umbrella going to the SC.

    From the 2022 Budget TVs thread:

    PS, 3-17-24:, 11:20AM.... eating quite a bit of peanut butter, trying to find protein replacements for meats, the doctor told me I can't have anymore. Even have "nut-butter", which is substitute for peanut butter, made only from "real" nuts. Costco "Kirkland" brand has a "nut-butter", that the only ingredients ARE just the ground-up nuts & nothing else. Its very good.
    //////////
    Today......Continue to look for meat protein substitutes for my diet. I've always enjoyed peanut butters throughout my life. & all these "nut-butters" are very nice, specially the ones whose ONLY ingredients are nuts. Yes, I am eating ever more quantities of "nut-butters".

    Surprisingly, I came across the Old Fashioned "Adams peanut butter" that I used to stir up to blend the oils. Indeed, even today, its ingredients are only peanuts & tastes excellent. Adams even has an extra gram of protein, that the other brands don't have! One extra gram doesn't sound like much, but it is an extra 14%! That's a real plus!

    Shhhh, don't tell my doctor. But, the Shimp Louie at the SC was spectacular! & I told the chefs, such. Problem is, I think my plate ended up getting half the available shrimp in the kitchen! I gorged!

    7:20AM....Not many empty parking spots in the apt. parking lots this morning, showing people went to work. Might be a hint that its....SATURDAY! YIPPEE!!!
    OH! I'm retired. I don't NEED the weekend any more to make me happy. I can be happy ALL the time now!

    PS, 7:37AM....Seeing more action in the parking lot, some vehicles leaving, some vehicles parking. Maybe some shift changes going on?

    PS I, 10:25AM....To 50degF today. But slight cooling will set in, before mid-afternoon. Probably is an early indication that rain may start in latter afternoon.
    PS II, 5:05PM....Predicted temperature high & cooling, did occur. But, now the rain has been put off till after 9PM. So a sweet day, even allowing a walk into the bottomland.
