    Hi All:

It took a while but this is what Tesla US Sales "may" be?

Tesla - US Monthly Sales Data

    2023 Jan - 55,922 Feb - 53,685 Mar - 60,395 Apr - 58,415 May - 56,169 Jun - 58,415

Model 3 - US Monthly Sales Data

    2023 Jan - 20,724 Feb - 19,895 Mar - 22,382 Apr - 19,753 May - 18,994 Jun - 19,753

Model Y - US Monthly Sales Data

    2023 Jan - 27,961 Feb - 26,842 Mar - 30,197 Apr - 35,623 May - 34,253 Jun - 35,623

Model S - US Monthly Sales Data

    2023 Jan - 5,263 Feb- 5,053 Mar - 5,684 Apr - 1,047 May - 1,006 Jun - 1,047

Model X - US Monthly Sales Data

    2023 Jan - 1,974 Feb- 1,895 Mar - 2,132 Apr - 1,992 May - 1,916 Jun - 1,992

    Model Y - 2023 US YTD - 190,499
    Model 3 - 2023 US YTD - 121,501
    Model S - 2023 US YTD - 19,100
    Model X - 2023 US YTD - 11,901

    Tesla - 2023 US YTD - 343,001

As you can see, the Apr and June sales results are duplicated so this is another quarterly mess to try and clean up. :(

    Hi All:

I am highlighting one of the outliers that I have been critical of since its intro is the Hummer EV. I know a few of the auto journalists that went to the launch and many came away with gushing reveals and impressions. I took on a few with the take few will sell and GM wasted yet another billion USD to create a vehicle with no market.

Another journalist was posting his glee for having one for a week and I took it to task with the sales figures. They are ridiculously abysmal with 49 sold this year and just 370 for all of last.

Another writer posted some undesirable comments at me after a GMAuthority story showed over 15k has been produced. I commented sales are what makes a company, not what they produced. If in fact they have over 15k Hummer EVs sitting in a square mile empty lot somewhere waiting for something???

Another said the Lyriq - I am a fan, was having Supply Chain troubles as well. I pointed out that 2,316 of those had been sold YTD so no, there is no supply constraint but there is a smoke screen covering up yet another GM model failure.

In any case, the sales results for are not good for EVs in general outside of the Tesla Model 3 and Y and the Hummer EV is quite possibly the worst example out there. and it does not appear it will be getting better anytime soon for this.

From the same OEM but entirely opposite take, I have a suspicion the all-new and soon to be released 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV will be a massive hit. It fixes the Lightning's shortcomings with significant boost in range (estimated 450-miles from the WT trims - probably optioned up) and much shorter charging times (possibly just 45-minutes from 0 to 80%) thanks to its larger usable cap pack and 800V architecture within. A possibly shorter range WT is estimated to start at just $52,000 while the 3WT and long range 4WT should arrive at an estimated $65,000 and $79,800 respectively. ;)

    2024 Chevrolet Silverado (RST shown)

Now this is the EV that will launch GM into the future imho.
