Hi All: While at the 2022 Chicago Auto Show yesterday, I had the opportunity to compare the front to rear seating and head room between the 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5 and the 2022 Kia EV6. Based on the same platforms, I expected the leg and knee room to be identical but that appears not to be the case. I adjusted the front seat and wheel to fit me as comfortably as possible and snapped the pic. I entered the rear seat and snapped the pic of knee room. I cannot explain the EV6s deficiency, but it is there. In addition, ingress and egress from the rear seat found the Ioniq 5 to be far more accommodative with another inch or so of headroom. 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5 (left) - 2022 Kia EV6 (right) I liked the Ioniq 5's interior seating and dash materials better while I liked the Kia EV6s driver and front passenger dash including display layout, wheel, controls, and center console better. Moving to the published volumes, the EV6's profile has an aesthetic advantage in that the lower roof height and steeper rake through the rear hatch "looks" faster, but it also measurably cuts into interior cargo volume. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Passenger/Cargo/Interior Volumes (cu. ft.) Passenger volume - 106.5 cu. ft. Luggage capacity, rear seats upright/folded - 27.2/59.3 cu. ft. Total interior volume - 133.7 cu. ft. Kia EV6 Passenger/Cargo/Interior Volumes (cu. ft.) Passenger volume - 103.0 cu. ft. Luggage capacity, rear seats upright/folded - 24.4/50.2 cu. ft. Total interior volume - 127.4 cu. ft. Wayne
