    This will be a not-good tank due to low tire pressure , increased
    drag from bad wheel bearing , and colder temps. Oh well, we
    had a good run. Now I just have to tough it thru the winter.

    Brazil’s national election(partially transferred & updated) from the ccp coronavirus thread:
    ///////
    October 25, 2021:
    “Jarhead Poison-Arrow”, president of Brazil, powers his country over 600K ccp coronavirus dead, while still issuing denials of the deadliness of the disease. However, the elections to remove him from office are still distant.
    ////////
    October 3, 2022:
    Luis Lula da Silva won the preliminary election, 48.4% to “Jarhead Poison-Arrow” 43.2%. Now the final two horse election race will be October 30, 2022. Lula received 12+% more votes than incumbent “Jarhead”, whose ccp coronavirus & environmental denials & poor Indigenous Peoples’ policies have directly led to 2/3rds plus of a million ccp coronavirus dead Brazilians, massive, rocketing logging in the Amazon & power-forced Indigenous People to well below 1 million total population.

    Indeed for 4 years, the green on Brazil’s flag has ever decreasing meaning. Hey, Lula won by 6.187 million votes. Yet, the final election to “possibly” remove “Jarhead” from office is STILL distant.

    Gord, do you have enough miles on the car to gauge tire wear? I'm always hearing of short tire life on EVs, but that's for the people who have a need for speed and no control over their right foot. Tire wear seems fairly even and normal, right? Thanks.

    YouTube declares the Fantasy that EV drivers can’t resist the instant & high torque of an electric motor, for sure.

    Also, EVs are heavier than a like-sized ICE vehicles. If someone wants to keep tire wear to the same level as their ICE vehicle featherfooting ways produce, one will HAVE to ACCELERATE & CORNER even SLOWER than their ICE vehicle featherfooting ways!! YEAH, that could be really slow, indeed! Even driving at the same highway, country road & city speeds as is one’s norm, EV tire wear could still be higher than similar speeds produce in an ICE vehicle.

    As for me & my used & over-sized tires……….hey, I will not be overly concerned about extra tire wear. As stated, I got lots of tires to put on my cars.

    One concern I do have, IF I buy a Chevy Bolt EV: As great as has been the suspensions, alignments & tire wear on our 3 Hyundai vehicles with all the changes of used tires, I would understand if the Chevy Bolt can NOT be up to the tasks that the Hyundais have performed.

    More likely, the heavier EV will come with correspondingly larger (therefore more expensive) tires, resulting in about the same tire life. That's IF, as you say, the driver resists the temptation of absurd acceleration capability.

    That does seem to be the case, altho for decades people seemed to like larger tires on ICE vehicles, too.
    That may be why I have been able to get used tires for cheap, from people’s garages which were left over, when they went to larger tires or newer vehicles, entirely. They had no more use for the smaller tires, even when those tires were actually over-sized for my small & medium-small Hyundai cars.

    Saying that however, I think I already have used tires to fit EV cars, that will work well, for my careful, easy-driving ways.

    Filled up the Camry on our return from Amish Country. Picked up my own Sam's card for $45, and I'll get $45 off my next in-store purchase, so basically "free" since it'll be for stuff that I would buy anyway. Haven't filled up since July 17th. I also crossed over the 9,000 mile mark for my car. I'm due for service in January, and we will most likely have around 11,000, as we're planning on going to Williamsburg, Virginia the last week of November, and into early December. The Colonial Williamsburg tree lighting is early this year!

    Hi Gord, with 20k and you not noticing state of the tires, I imagine nothing's off. You could have a very long life tire. What's the tire brand and model if I may ask? Thanks.

    YOu have an 11KW, Level 2, instead of a slower 7.7kW charger? Right?
    If I can afford a Chevy Bolt, I’ll need the optional 11kW charger.

    litesong , what is the difference between the Bolt EV and the Bolt EUV ?
    They seem to be identical ( in dimensions).
