I’ve driven an electric kart and yeah they are super quick but these were old school gas karts and they were still pretty fast. I felt I’d had a workout when I’d done .
Hopefully going again later next month but this time I’ll be in the competition karts - woohoo

I am so jealous of those of you with temperatures in the 60s an 70s. We’ve had too many days above 90 F here. Supposed to be 97 here Thursday afternoon.

Just remember. When our summertime 60 to 80degF temperatures go to wintertime 0 to 30degF temperatures & snow & ice are on our roads, you’ll grin from ear to ear! With hot temps:rolleyes:, all you need to do is turn the A/C on. Much harder to get the snow & ice off the roads in cold temperatures.

And yet people keep moving to Florida! I know a family that bought a house and moved to FL, sold and moved back to MA, and now they've bought another house in FL and are there again. All in the span of 1 year!

Janice, you may not want to come to Washington state, right now. Our weather predictions keep rising. Sunday may get to 88degF & Monday, 90degF.
However, if you stay near the 55degF Salish Sea(Puget Sound) waters, you’ll be a few degrees cooler. & if you go to the mountains, you could be 10-15degF cooler. So come on over.

There ya go! Months ago, I said I hoped to charge for free on a future EV. Of course, my hope for an EV flew out the window, but people complained about me just THINKING about FREE electricity. But, Gord has been GETTING FREE electricity for months & no one complained.

The only things to worry about on this commute were getting pulled
over for going too slow or losing charge. Neither one happened.

    16.3 miles, fcd = 82.1 x .943 = 77.4 MPG.

After work I go see my friend Russell , then later , home.

Few are driving on the Freeway slower than me. I am fortunate tho, that I favor backroads with speed limits that provide the best MPG for our 6speed auto & manual transmissions. Yes, I get to drive for longer time periods on roads that are far more scenic, & have more opportunity to INTERACT with the planet…….if the price of gasoline comes down.

Found a gas station selling for $4.65 per gallon. That’s lower than the previous 3 weeks in Washington state, even cheaper than Eastern Washington. We’ll see if it means that gas is going down. Also, I’m seeing more stations under $5.
I was going 2 miles per hour under 60MPH speed limit. In the right lane, no one was trying to push me faster down the road, so maybe a few people are trying to drive slower due to the price of gasoline.

It started going down last Sunday where I was visiting in western Kentucky. By now, it's down by at least 30¢/gal. in S.C.

Traffic on the Interstates seemed about as fast as ever during that trip.

For me, I wasn’t driving much AND wasn’t filling up the gas tank or paying attention to the prices. You can thank my low amount of driving for bringing prices down. Still won’t drive much. Let the prices drop some more.
I was only talking about the cars behind me in the right lane for this drive I just completed. On average, the vehicles behind me were quite distant, not scrunched up behind me as normal, losing patience & pouring past me in the second lane.

Since my last fill-up on June 15 , 87 E10 went down $.15 at the station I use in Elk Grove.
    Today when I filled , it was $5.399. 670.0 miles , fcd = 70.4 x .943 = 66.4 MPG

    58 deg F in Naperville , 61 in Elk Grove , wind WNW7.
    32.3 miles , fcd = 68.4 x .943 = 64.5 MPG.

And people here are driving as fast as ever. I guess that's what people do in very nice weather.
Maybe they are trying to burn thru a tank faster so they can fill up before the next price hike.
I drive the same way all the time , regardless of wind or temperature.
