Hi All: I completed creating the 2022 Audi GT RS Speed vs Energy Economy graph. I set it up as a 1280 pixel wide graph to match the rest of CleanMPGs recent changes as well. I have to run but here are some of the details: Temps from 52 to 54 degrees F, Winds calm. EPA highway crossover (2.43 mi/KWh) occurred at 73.375 mph EPA rating at 67.5 mph = 2.82 mi/KWh indicating EPA range highway should be 271-miles, not 232-miles. When comparing the above graph of the AWD 22 Audi GT RS with the 21" wheels and sticky summer performance Goodyear F1s vs the RWD Taycan with 19" Continental ProContact All-seasons, the efficiency fall off is poignant! Consider both vehicles efficiency at 70 mph. RWD Taycan w/ All-season 19s - 3.12 mi/KWh AWD RS GT w/ Summer Performance 21s - 2.7 mi/KWh The efficiency fall off is 15.5%! I will be working on the Charge Profile tonight when I get back. Wayne
Do you check your pump receipts carefully? My last receipt from a pump at a QuikTrip store exclaims "Thank You for Shopping QuikTrip!"
I will be filling up tomorrow or Friday , I will check then. You're probably right. But it would be nice to hear a woman's voice , like Rashida Jones , coming directly from the pump , saying " Thank you , Edwin".
Hi Bill: Yes, that was the CBS News crew and they were very professional. I completed an all-electric 39-mile (95% highway) drive down the 5, then a 92-mpg drive coming back with the Prius Prime as an HEV. The key points I was trying to relay to Kris during the all-highway segment was how speed kills FE so follow the limits, stay in the right hand lane at all times unless impediments allow a movement out to maintain momentum, anticipatory focus up to a half mile ahead and a quarter mile behind so as to not get caught unaware of any slow down or impediment ahead or an asleep at the wheel speeder behind, the zipper merge, Ridge Riding and turn signals for visibility along with the shimmy, hazards, and maintenance lane dive if it were ever needed, the Long Glide, and especially Driving with Load. I completed a 20-mile RT city loop at 110 mpg with light timing with rabbits, smart braking, and the long glide as the focus. The EV, HEV Highway and HEV city were completed with the anchor onboard. At the end of the day, I placed him behind the wheel of the Audi on the 20-mile RT city segment and he nailed 3.2 mi/kWh compared to its 2.4 mi/KWh rating. The CBS News crew used only the Prius recorded video for their segment. Wayne

Hi All: I forgot to post the Charging Profile within the Audi GT RS review vs the Charging Profile thread in the BEV forum. 5 to 80% in 19-minutes and 3-seconds and 19-minutes and 17-seconds during both charges on an Electrify America 350KW in Culver City, CA just outside of LAX and Oceanside, CA respectively. Wayne
Those are very road trip worthy charging times, stopping every two to three hours for a short charging break.
It was an enjoyable video. I initially dreaded sitting through it when I saw your timestamp breakdown, but time passed quickly and the flow was good. I liked the overlays. Background sound track was okay. It wasn't annoying as soundtracks can be. One thing that caught my eye was a red flashing light on the rearview mirror. I presume it was a compass readout or something else not indicating an error condition. Flashing perhaps due to video frame rate beating against the LED refresh rate? Doesn't matter. It also briefly crossed my mind that it was a blind spot monitor, but it was going most of the time so I thought probably not. Well done, and thanks for posting! (viewed video on my phone)
