    Hey Jason
You reminded me of our FE Challenges that stopped nearly 6 years ago.
Looks like you’re doing great with the Ioniq

Today , 52 deg F and calm in Northbrook and Elk Grove.
    17.2 miles, fcd = 71.7 x .943 = 67.6 MPG.
Had to go 5.9 miles after zero to find a Top Tier gas station that worked.
The Exxon in Itasca didn't like my card , the pump told me to
"talk to attendant inside". I don't go in convenience stores. Ever.
So , I went to a Shell that isn't really out of my way.
    653.1 miles , fcd = 70.0 x .943 = 66.0 MPG.
    9.765 gallons at $3.599 per.

Lots of ways to figure energy consumption. I kinda like Miles per kW-hr because it’s a bit like MIles per Gallon….but a lot cheaper. Them there accountants probably like Cents per Mile. Some youngster EV drivers probably will like 500,000 Miles per 100,000 kW-hrs to get an idea of their lifetime electrical consumption…..or more.

Back home last night, non-motorway route, 59°F:
    19.6 miles - 199 Wh/mi or 169MPGe or 5 miles/kWh or 20kWh per 100 miles (Just for litesong ;) )

Went to see my mother, 56°F there, 54°F back:
    4.4 miles - 177 Wh/mi or 190MPGe
    4.4 miles - 245 Wh/mi or 138MPGe

My brother-in-law needed a lift to work this morning as my sister has sold her car and borrowed his! Her new to her (3yo Merc GLA) car is coming soon.
Picked him up enroute, dropped him off, then a short drive to a free slow charger, non-motorway route, 51°F:
    19.4 miles - 206 Wh/mi or 164MPGe
19 minutes of charge added 9.04 miles of range (better than nothing :D)

From charger to work, some traffic but net downhill, 48°F:
    3.1 miles - 155 Wh/mi or 217MPGe

Oh, yeah!!!!! I love it, Bill! :D & for those EV race drivers, who think it their duty to collapse electricity grids, they get 133 miles/MW-hr.
PLUS, I’m not sure 4 laps around that agility course was two miles. If four laps was LESS than 2 miles, then EV racers would get ever LOWER MIles Per MW-hr. With more powerful AND LONGER RANGE future EV cars, EV racers can pursue even lower Miles per MW-hr., with extractions from the electrical grid into MANY Multi- MW-hrs. Collapsed electrical grids in the name of fun & ego.

    I’ve got a second hand iPhone 6S I bought from work for $25 :p

Back home last night, non-motorway route, 59°F:
    19.6 miles - 189 Wh/mi or 5.3mi/kWh

To work this morning, non-motorway route, 59°F:
    19.6 miles - 209 Wh/mi or 4.8mi/kWh

    Range @ 156 miles

So far I'm averaging 5.1mi/kWh and in the US I believe the Long Range is rated at 25kWh/100 miles or 4mi/kWh so 27.5% better

My daughter suggested I do something like that. But I have avoided buying or using any Apple products for 50-some years
so far , , not sure if I want to go there. Everyone says they're great.

I won't take this route too often , but ( in the morning ) it is
a good compromise between the slow scenic route and the speedy
highway route. It's considerably shorter ( 32.6 miles vs 35.0 ) but still
    uses I-88 and I-355.
    64.6 x .943 = 60.9 MPH.
It takes me past the Amoco where I buy gas and pick up deliveries
to the amazon locker. I needed to pick up something this morning
before amazon takes it back sometime today.

Yeah, I agree with you. But, if I ever am able to get a long-lived EV, I’d be happy & use “thumbs down”, very sparingly. See how happy Gord has become!!
