    Hi All:

A short note Lucid's (LCID) stock price history.

On Friday, August 29th, 2025, LCID closed at $1.98, down $0.09 (-4.35%). That close was just a nickel above its all-time low of $1.93 set on Nov. 15, 2024 . YTD, LCID is down 34.44%, and since it began trading on Jan. 11, 2021, via a SPAC with opening price of 10.05, a high on that day of 14.00, and a close of 13.20, it is down 79.98%. Just 6 weeks after that initial trade on Feb. 18, 2021, it traded at a high of 64.86 and it has gone nowhere but downhill ever since. :(

LCID Stock Price History from its IPO to Aug. 29, 2025

    Closing prices shown.

Beginning on Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2025, Lucid will have transitioned through its 10 for 1 reverse stock split authorized on Aug. 18th and will begin trading at a price of $19.80/share.

As explained above, a reverse stock split is bearish because it is completed to keep a stock's price above $1. If a stock drops below $1 for just a month, it will be delisted from the Nasdaq. The problem is not just the delisting possibility but the earnings as it is still losing more money after the Gravity was introduced than it was prior. Until the mid-size is released in late 2026, the chance of yet another dilution or two to keep the company solvent is almost guaranteed and there is no guarantee of profitability with a properly priced Midsize will change its overall fortune.

Good Luck to all owners of LCID and possibly more importantly, owners of a Lucid Air or Gravity.

    Hi All:

Lucid's "Black Tuesday" as I will call it is the date that the former SPAC known as Churchill Capital Corp IV (CCIV) that became the aforementioned Lucid Motors "LCID", took its beating. The 10 for 1 reverse split unraveled starting 30-minutes before the open at 09:00 AM EST in the pre-market this morning.

The NYSE Day Trading Hours background is black and the times are PST.

Just 45-seconds into the public trading session, a new all-time low at the pre-reverse split price of $1.76, post, $17.63 was reached. At the 20-minute mark, an intraday recovery high of $19.41 was touched only to slowly fall away to the close at $17.66, down $2.14 (-10.81%).

Good Luck to anyone that owns LCID long and short term because the stock price slide is probably not over. I expect there will be another $1-billion USD dilution from the post reverse split and current 307.47 million shares outstanding shortly. Over the past two quarters, Lucid's net income was a combined, negative $905 million so the $1-billion USD convertible senior note offering from early April has probably been consumed by now. :(

    Hi All:

I could post the daily chart but what is the point since LCID hit another all-time and 52-week low in todays trading. LCID closed at $16.79, down $0.87 (-4.95%). This was just $0.03 off the intraday low touched 13-minutes before todays close of trading.

    Hi Edwin:

As you already know, LCID closed at a new all-time low this afternoon. $16.16, down .63, a negative 3.72%. There was a ray of hope within todays tape. Namely, the low of $15.25 was reached just 4-minutes into the trading session and while tested twice, $15.26 at 11:20 AM EST and $15.29 at 12:40 PM EST. The first real "Short-term" buy signal in my own convoluted methodology occurred shortly after that final test. Just 4-minuites later, the 5-day EMA crossed above the 9-day EMA at $15.35 (12:44 PM EST) and another 30-seconds later, the 13-day EMA. There were three short term swings between that first signal and the close with numerous RSI-7 overbought periods while still maintaining cohesion within the 2-std. deviation Bollinger Bands all afternoon only to breach the top band 30-minutes before the close. That happens more often that than anyone would guess. It closed with all thee short term indicators heading up and to the right and all layered as if the afternoon rally will continue into Friday's trading session.

The intermediate and long term term signals are completely destroyed as they have been for weeks. Meaning 1-month out, there is hope but not much more. Yet.

    Hi All:

Rumor has it, Lucid sold every Gravity they have produced to date into this weekend as the Fed TC is ready to expire. Given only the Grand Touring is being sold currently, it does not qualify for the $7,500 Fed TC and I am not sure where they source the pack anyway. It does qualify for the $7,500 off the lease back door deal however.

    Hi All:

This morning at 07:15 AM PST, Lucid (LCID) achieved another new all time low well after the 10:1 Reverse split from last August. LCID had to incur the 10:1 reverse so that the company would not be delisted from the NASDAQ as a stock that was heading to a $1 minimum share price. Today would have been that day they reached it.

With quarter after quarter of $1-billion or more in losses, ($1.034 Billion) loss in Q3 2025 vs ($0.949 Billion) in Q3 2024, and no CEO being named after almost a year of search, I have grave doubts that the upcoming midsize will save the company. The aging Air and new Gravity are simply not creating anything close to a profit.

Two weeks ago, Lucid announced production and delivery totals for the quarter and year ended December 31, 2025 of 18,378 vehicles, up 104% compared to full year 2024, and delivered 15,841 vehicles, up 55% compared to full year 2024 respectively. Remember when 20k was supposed to be reached in 2021?

With the loss of the $7,500 Fed Tax Credit and US EV sales falling precipitously, a new entry at a $50k + price point is imho not going to make up that $1 billion $s per quarter loss. :(

    I'd buy an Air before a Model S. Since I'm semi-retired,
    can't really afford either.

    Hi All:

    It is not getting better...

This afternoon after the bell, Lucid released their Q4 Earnings with a larger-than-expected loss. On the earnings call, Lucid promised to curtail costs by laying off 12% of its U.S. workforce amid a challenging EV market with the federal ‌tax credit demise of $7,500 this past September.

For 2026, Lucid forecast a possible doubling of production of 25 to 27k vehicles with the introduction of the sub $50k midsize just ahead. Another stretch? Probably as they have missed yearly sales targets since their IPO and with the new US EV market share tumbling, I am not optimistic. :(

    LCID Long Term Price Chart

In after hours trading seconds after the release, LCID touched a new all-time-low of 8.92 or $0.892/share pre 10 for 1 reverse split. It closed on Tuesday at $9.92. Tomorrow is a new day however.

Lucid delivered 5,345 vehicles in Q4, up 72% compared to Q4 2024. For all of 2025, they delivered 15,841 vehicles, up 55% compared to the full year 2024.

Where the companies financial health meets the proverbial road, top line revenue growth for the quarter ended December was up 123% to $522.7 million, compared with the analysts' average estimate of $468 million. The bottom line was LCID reported another GAAP adjusted net loss of $3.62/share compared with the estimated loss of $2.62/share.

Lucid faced production challenges due to supply-chain disruptions and escalating costs in 2025, many to do with Trump's on again, off again tariff policies.
