Jan. 20, 2021 - New Map Updates for Garmins!

    Hi All:

    Time to pull out your Garmin and update it. I received a notification through the Garmin Express SW this morning that new updated software and maps are available. The DriveSmart 50 and DriveSmart70 both received their new maps and software updates about an hour ago. ;)

    I'm sure you put the updates to good use, Wayne. :)

    Me, not so much. I only do the quarterly updates on occasion just to make sure things still work, but I never expect to encounter any newly mapped areas.

    edit: as for Google maps, I have sent in a few updates to them and had the updated areas confirmed...

    Hi Bill:

    I posted this thinking that I will be purchasing a new Garmin DriveSmart 71 EX sometime this year so the updates to the older DriveSmart 50 and 70 may not be as necessary either. ;)
