Welcome back to the grind :D
Can you believe a year ago gas was $2.82 and diesel $3.085 (currently $2.41)
According to AAA "....The national gas price average is just one penny more expensive than last week. Part of the incremental jump can be attributed to increases in gasoline demand, which saw a 7% week-over-week increase. However, demand is still down nearly 25% compared to last year, according to the Energy Information Administration’s (EIA) latest reports.

“Americans are slowly but steadily returning to driving, causing gas prices to increase across the country,” said Jeanette Casselano, AAA spokesperson. “The good news is gas is still cheap. Motorists can fill-up for $2/gallon or less at 70% of gas stations across the country.”

Today’s national average is 20 cents more than a month ago, but 85 cents less than a year ago.

Well, I really ground it. Backed into my open door with another car. Now that door has to be repaired.
My wife was parked at a state park in the other Elantra. A passing state park truck with equipment in its bed, had gear shift. The gear swung into our left rear window & busted it badly. Now both Elantras are getting things repaired.
Hey, we ain’t got ccp coronavirus.....yet!

Merci!! Not small mercies either. Deathrates due to ccp coronavirus range from 4% (few....at least, reported accurately), to 5.9% (more), to 7%, to 10+% (several European countries, Mexico, others). In other words, catching ccp coronavirus & dying from it, is the equivalent of 4 to 10+ times worse, than the deathrate to 16 year olds driving motorcycles without helmets in their first year of riding.
Riding motorcycles is a choice. Catching ccp coronavirus is NOT a choice.

Topped my car off before summer really starts to hit and gas goes up. Not sure if you can really count it, but hey!

    29.7 kWh used = .906 gallons equivalent
    .992 + .906 = 1.898 gallons equivalent
    185.2 / 1.898 = 97.576MPGe

Our gas has been going up for weeks already. Weeks ago, I got gas for $1.25 per gallon. Paid $2.03 the other day. Even if I went to a distant station, I would still pay $1.79.

Yeah, already up to $2.10 a gallon. Glad I still have my C-Max, even if it has been a pain.

Rachmaninoff’s Symphony #2 gives much pleasure, but cannot give 74MPG. Also in the rain, the symphony will give sub-standard performance.

Both cars are now repaired. The electric window on the one Elantra & the door on the other Elantra both work excellently. Now, we’ll see how long we wait for the Washington state re-imbursement on the window they broke.Of course, we don’t get any re-imbursement for the door.... I BROKE.
