    I just paid $3.059/gallon, up only 36¢/gal since my last fill-up, which was >2 months ago.

    I'm surprised no one has dug this thread up with current prices being at or above record highs. I stopped at Murphy's/Walmart and filled up 2 cans with lawn mower gas a while ago that hold just over 2.5 gallons each cost was $23 and I could probably have easily got another $1-2 in them if I'd wanted to fill them to the top. Current lowest price I know of in Russellville, KY is $4.259, down from $4.399 about a week ago but still about $2.00 a gallon to much.

    Yeah, you’re right!
    I transfer the following post from another thread posted on 5-18-22, for gas prices in both Western & Eastern Washington:
    ///////
    But, how much DIFFERENT is my yesterday’s trip compared to years past? Two years ago, there was a gas war in an Eastern Washington town. During the gas war, I was able to buy 55 gallons of gas for $1.25 per gallon. Yesterday, I had to pay $4.37 per gallon! At least, I didn’t pay $5+ per gallon like at some Western Washington stations now. Still, I won’t be making long distance trips to Eastern Washington anymore, till the prices drop.

    Well……..gasoline continued up, with most Washington state stations charging $5 & up to $5.50(some higher). As stated above & other threads, my long pleasure drives stopped….. period….nada!
    Finally after 1.5 months, gas prices ARE coming down. However, prices are still higher than that Eastern Washington payment I had on May 21, 2022.
    Yeah, my long distance pleasure driving is still zero. There is no pleasure pumping high priced gas in Washington state. The truth really hit me, when I put down $20 for a cheap cash gasoline purchase…..& couldn’t even come near filling my 5 gallon gas container.
    The only good thing was my bad back let me lift the sub-5 gallons of fuel, instead of putting a major strain on my back, IF it had actually been a full 5 gallons.:(:oops:

    We're about $5.40-5.50.
    My last fill was June 27 and it was $5.399 then.

    Our nearest prices are even higher than yours, which I refuse to pay. I am fortunate that since I am retired, much of my driving is optional & subject to elimination. There are three maybe four, distant stations(in places I love to travel), which intermittently take turns charging considerably less for gasoline. When the iron is hot (near & far prices very wide), I strike & go on one of my delayed journeys to those stations with gas cans in tow. Still pay too much, but its not the reprehensible $5.50+ per gallon.

    Oh, wow! Somewhere in Georgia, there is a station selling gas for $3.15! Any takers in that area?
    Oh, boy! California has 1 station that is down to $5.

    Finally, one of the Western Washington state Costco gas stations has lowered its price to $4.45 per gallon, now 2nd lowest station in our state. Still, too far away from me.

    $3.849 was the lowest I saw today for non-top-tier, and $3.989 for top tier, but prices are more scattered than normal.

    OK……one station lowered its gas price to the lowest in Washington state, $4.40 per gallon. Now, another station that at times, had the lowest price in our state, has lowered to $4.38. Stations keep your prices heading downward…..quickly.

    Whoa……2 Costco gas stations separated by 30 miles, have gas prices that are 45cents per gallon apart! Tho individual Costco stations set their prices to be competitive within their regions, a 45cent difference between adjacent Costcos IS a large gap.

    Would 20 cents per gallon difference be within your perception of normal? That's what a 10% difference would be in the $2/gal world of not too long ago. Or maybe wait a few days for the cost/sign-changer to catch up with the falling price trend.

    I suspect the cheaper Costco station had the latest semi-tanker fill-up with a large price decrease. You’re right. Just wait(if one CAN wait), till the higher priced Costco gets its tanks filled with lower priced gasoline.

    Now we have price differences about that large here between competing stations that are much closer together geographically, and normally much closer together in price.

    Wow! Never thought it would be possible. The lowest price for Idaho Costco gasoline is 30cents MORE than Washington state Costco gasoline. That reinforces the lowest Idaho gas prices anywhere in the state, being considerably HIGHER than in Washington state.
    1154 miles to the east-southeast of Washington state lowest gas prices in Circle, Montana, beyond the Charles M. Russell Nat’l Wildlife Refuge in eastern Montana are gas prices 6cents lower than in western Washington.
    That wild fast shift of lower gas prices (temporarily?) in western Washington state MIGHT be understood because the oil tankers have their oils processed at the Anacortes, Washington state oil refineries, AND only a few miles away from the lowest priced Washington state stations.

    Whoa! Just three days after one of the Washington state gas stations pile drove their price to 15cents below the lowest WA state price, another station powers down our prices, a full 9cents lower, to $4.29 per gallon. Yeah, yeah, I know, the southern states cry that they’ve been below, & way below $4 for quite some time. But, here in Washington state, $4.29 is way over a dollar less than the $5.50+ some stations were charging, just a short time ago.

    Still, this Western Washington station right now, has a price lower than ANYWHERE in Idaho or Montana…… just…..wow!

    OK, OK! Gas prices are coming down. I MAY venture further from home than during the sky high prices, previously. Let’s see if the prices can come down further, tho. I suspect since this is summer, gas prices will NOT drop as much as most people will be comfortable with.

    Just got some of that lowest Washington state, $4.29 per gallon gasoline (cash only). No fancy, pollution stopping nozzles that tend not to work when filling gas containers. Gave $60 that filled containers, but didn’t put much into the car. Wow……$60 that didn’t fill all my needs! Gas is still very high in Washington state. When i got home, all the cars got gassed well.
    ///////
    PS….Tho other stations lowered prices, none are as low as the price I paid 2 days ago.
