Hi All: On Tuesday while driving from the 2023 Toyota Prius Prime Event, I was on the 40 driving through Needles, CA but I did not refuel there. A few minutes down the road in Mojave, AZ, I refueled here instead. Wayne
Hi All: On my way back from CA, here is the list. Costco in Carlsbad, CA - $4.599 Mohsen in Oceanside, CA - $4.269 THALYPO in Mojave Valley, AZ - $3.239 Alon DK in Albuquerque, NM - $3.159 Sam's Club in Amarillo, TX - $2.959 Shell in Little Rock, AR - $2.779 Shell in Nashville, TN - $3.209 While coming into Little Rock, this Shell popped up with one of if not the lowest prices in all of AR at $2.879. The std. $0.05/gallon off Fuel Rewards discount and another $0.05/gallon for T-Mobile Tuesday brought it down to just $2.779/gallon. With the recent oil price spike from $67/barrel to just over $80 over the past week, gas prices are going for a ride along with it. That $2.779 is just a pipe dream. I still have to complete a final refuel here in Nashville with fuel prices in the area in the $3.20 to $3.50 per gallon range vs just under $3.00 per gallon when I left just three weeks ago. I am seeing prices just under $3/gallon out near Knoxville and Chattanooga, TN, Huntsville, AL, and Bowling Green, KY but I suspect there may be just days before they all breach $3 per on the upside as well. Wayne
Hi All: I refueled at a local Shell for $3.209/gallon thanks to the $0.05/gallon Fuel Rewards discount. That is about the best deal in the Nashville area right now that oil has spiked back into the $80/barrel range. Wayne
MARCH 17, 2023: What was in mid-March in western Washington state ISN’T what is now in April! The gasoline price gap between Idaho($3.179 per gallon) & western Washington($3.799 per gallon) is now over 60cents & even as different as 67cents……& that’s comparing a “high” price in Idaho & a “low” price in western Washington! Some far southern small town Idaho stations have gasoline as low as $2.929 per gallon.
Hi All: With the oil price spike and now Summer Fuel, prices are still up but have come down a small amount at stations nationwide. Take a look at this before (01:00 PM) and after (06:00 PM) fuel purchase(s) from a Buc-ee's in Crossville, TN on Monday, April 10th. Wayne
Hi All: Just 2+ weeks after the gasoline spike due to the Saudi oil cutback announcement, prices are back down to near term lows. Just $2.889/gallon at a local Sam's Club in south east Nashville, TN and I will take that any time. Wayne
When I went to Yakima the other day, picked up gas at $3.689, instead of Snohomish county Costco at $4.179.
Well…..here in Washington state, gas prices over the last 5 (more?) months have been about the most stable that they’ve been in many years. Of course, the price is wildly high. I might think those are two signs that gas prices are being manipulated by economic powers-to-be. Maybe the powers-to-be are trying to lull the dependent-on-fuel population, before some major economic trauma occurs? I don’t know. I ain’t no economist. Wayne, as he travels around the country, has a great handle on how to keep his fuel purchase costs in reign. Since I’m retired, I’ve learned to control my energy cost output……by my adaptable increases or decreases of my mostly voluntary travel distances.
As stated, our county-wide cheapest Costco gas prices remain high at $4.179. However, the Eastern Washington low price continues downward, now to $3.559. Southern Idaho is down to $3.289.
Filled up at $3.059/gal. at Costco near Richmond, Va. on Monday, vs. $3.299 at most others thereabouts. Back under $3 at some places here now.
