Hi All: I have paid between $2.539 and $2.589 over the past week. $2.539 at a Sam's Club in Amarillo, TX last week, $2.589 at a Costco in Oklahoma City, OK later that day, and $2.589 at a Speedway near Clarksville, TN yesterday. 2021 Toyota Prius Prime Late November 877.5 mile trip across TX on the 10 when fuel was ~ $0.15/gallon more than today. On the negative side, Mirai owners are having to pay as much as $26.75/kg for H2 at True Zero H2 stations across California as of late. Many owners are abandoning their Mirai's with some purchasing 22 Prius Primes and others, BEVs of various types. Wayne
Yes, I am immediately driving less. /////// 1-27-23: Yes, as I said for 2 days now, I haven’t driven at all, because the gas price has risen AND shockingly quickly! Altho it hasn’t been raining or snowing, the clouds have been low, so low that some areas are foggy. Not just the hills, but some of the tree tops in the bottomlands are fog shrouded.
While most of the stations in my local area have diesel for $4.85 - $5.15 there's an Exxon a block from my office that has had diesel for $4.399 for a couple of weeks now.
$3.319 this morning on Long Island NY so it's about the same as in the home of Corn Flakes. The local supermarket has a deal with Shell where you rack up points when buying food - 10 cents off a gallon for every $100 you spend. These days, that's a dozen eggs and a pound of drip grind coffee. In my case, all family members use one common "shoppers" card so the points add up fast. 60 cents a gallon off today, making the gas 2.719. Cheap by today's standard. I guess it's time to go buy a three ton monstrosity that says HEMI (Half-size Emasculated Male Inside) in giant chrome letters all over the place.
Tho the lowest state gas prices are the same as I picked up on my drive east of the Cascades to E. Washington some days ago ($3.239), one of my favorite stations on the west side has dropped a bit. But, it is still somewhat higher than the E.WA side.

Yes, here in Washington state the lowest price of gas is $3.45 & that is in eastern Washington. North of Everett, WA, gas is about $3.60. Locally, it is ever higher.
It was nice this morning, so I went for a drive & got gas with the big snow-tired Accent. Yeah, yeah…..gas is sky high here already & going higher? One out-of-the-way gas station with no nearby gas stations, is selling gas for $4.59. Got some rain. That didn’t surprise me, but later I got some snow/hail! I think at the time of the snow, it was in the high 30degF temperatures. At its worse, the snow was about an inch, as I passed a football field. But the snow tires were nice & I didn’t feel any snow effects. PS…..Now the sun is out…..& it’s warm……..

Hi All: Along with the above prices between TN and CA, I added a few gallons at a Costco in Carlsbad, CA at a whopping $4.649! I easily had enough to get to a Sam's Club in Yuma, AZ where I filled up for $3.289. I should have enough to get to NM where fuel is in the $3.15 range in Gallup. If I have enough, I will refuel in Albuquerque for under $3/gallon. Wayne

Hi All: Prices seemed to come up about $0.05 to $0.25/gallon over the last week within the larger cities of TN, AL, KY, and GA. It is becoming harder and harder to find fuel for less than $3/gallon lately. On Friday, I refueled for $2.999 at a Shell in Goodlettsville, TN up near the TN/KY border along I-24 thanks to the $0.10/gallon Fuel Rewards card discount. Wayne
