Now, the lowest Louisiana station is above $3.
August 6, 2022:
A Colorado station went under $3, to $2.999.
Iowa drops to $2.949.
Minnesota has a number of stations selling gas for $3.259. Is that a good price for the state?
Montana($3.899) is still selling gas for more than Washington state($3.779).
PS……Oh, oh. A little(very mini) gas war is breaking out in Washington state, with a second station, very near the Anacortes oil refineries, & near the other low-priced station, dropping to $3.769.
Nevada gas price is $4.269. Not only do you lose money in the casinos, you lose money at the gas stations, too.
& now the other station, drops its price to $3.759. Keep going down! I’m readying my trip to Eastern Washington & will take whatever savings you want to give me.
Florida has a station moving down to $2.779.
PS…..Whoa! Later this day, now the lowest price in Florida jumped to $3.25!
Now, Florida drops to $2.959. However, that is 1 station. The second place station is still at $3.25.
Idaho powers down to $3.929.
An Iowan Costco station is $2.999, with the Costco discount drops gas to $2.88.
A Louisiana Costco is $2.999, with the discount, becomes $2.88
Texas bounces back up to $2.699.
Oh, oh! The other station just RAISED its price to $3.789, to show that it won’t run a gas war against the other station……. too bad!
Hey, its still summer. Gas prices are supposed to be high in summertime! Can’t break that law, ya know.
Kansas has a little gas war in a city, with a low of $2.909, now.
Again, Texas jumps up to $2.919!
Well…..it appears that state gas stations are slowing their price descents. Saying that tho, Idaho, which was 30+ cents more than Washington state’s reducing prices, now has a station selling for $3.829, which is only 4 cents above Washington state. Also in the Evergreen state, the 2 stations that held a mini-gas price war, have settled down to $3.789, which is actually 3cents HIGHER than their lowest price.
Yeah, as I said, it would be sweet if gas would continue down. But, in the summertime, gas prices tend to be higher, not lower.
PS…..Confirmation that gas prices are bottoming out, Texas continues its price after 2 major increases in prices.
Despite my post above, Georgia & Oklahoma bottom prices drop again to $2.899 & $2.999.
PS…..One Oklahoma station is on Mickey Mantle Blvd. in Commerce, where Mickey was taught to bat as a switch-hitter by his relatives. Unlike the great hitter however, the station doesn’t lead in low prices.
I just paid $3.249 locally.
Oh, someone else sped by me on a backroad. Thought he would continue to accelerate, even tho he was already well over the speed limit, but he relented & slowed down a little. Going around a bend in the road, there was a stater. Altho the guy was still somewhat over the speed limit, the stater let him go. I wouldn’t have minded seeing a ninth ticket given out.
A set of stations in Colorado drop to $2.949.
