Have you considered that the ratio of deaths to cases is certain in increase, when the number of active cases falls off? That's because of the delay between infection and death.

 

Lots of things affect the death-rate. Early on, death-rates were artificially low (even below 2%), because ccp coronavirus cases were ballooning BEFORE ccp coronavirus deaths started racking up, blunting the senses of "don'T rump" because it was already NOT a follower of science. The death-rate I'm calculating IS the overall death-rate, not the instant death-rate.
"don'T rump" has delayed fast actions & reduced testing U.S citizens for ccp coronavirus. These in-actions reduced the seeming public importance of ccp coronavirus, making "don'T rump" followers less aware of this war. The massively long delays & in-actions of "don'T rump" are marked by the dead, despite the silence of the dead.

It is NOT coincidence that Taiwan, which started powerful anti-ccp coronavirus (before it was named) protections on December 31, 2019, has stomped & stunted ccp coronavirus to 380 cases & 5 deaths. Taiwan may not have had a ccp coronavirus death in 7 days or so.

"don'T rump" now inherits its place in history & is defined by this ccp coronavirus scourge, plus its(don’T rump’s) many other inhumanities.

Since the above post on March 31, 2020, DAILY U.S. ccp coronavirus deaths are now well over 2000 & leaping toward my prediction. "don'T rump" is the causative factor. "don''T rump" could have joined forces with the ideas of Taiwan on December 31, 2019 to save so many thousands, so many of the future dead & could have steered the world away from millions of sufferings.

My heartfelt condolences go out to Mr. Maher. The only thing I disagree with, is that the disease should be called the ccp coronavirus or better yet, the communist chinese (always small letters) coronavirus.
