Hi Edwin: Kia and as always, Subaru are doing well. Kia spent a ton of precious PR and Marketing on the Stinger last year and it is fading fast albeit still adding 1,000 units a month to the brands sales volumes. The full size Telluride is just now reaching dealerships and that will help sales through 2019 although I would hate to be the poor bastard holding onto the note as depreciation is going to kill them. Subaru is holding on to increasing sales by their fingertips. Only the aging Forester had an increase in February and YTD. Everything else in their lineup was down and that rarely happens to Subaru. Hyundai is also doing ok thanks to the all-new Kona selling almost 6k units per month and Tucson hitting over 9k new drives, up almost 1k from last February's sales... Ioniq however is fading quickly towards the 1k/month volume. In February, the Ioniq sales were down 10.7 percent from the 1,156 sold in February of 2018 and YTD sales of 1,987 were down 6.7 percent from the 2,129 sold through the same period of 2018. Hyundai's Achilles heel however is the Elantra and no wonder the incentives came roaring back. Remember the big incentives disappeared about the same time the announcement that the Cruze and Focus were going to disappear? In February, just 10,304 Elantra's were sold, down 34.4 percent. YTD sales of 20,246 were down 31.9 percent from the 29,741 sold through the same period of 2018. Sonata is essentially flat while the all-new Accent is having trouble as well with YTD sales down 19.8 percent. Wayne

Hi All: While I prep for tomorrow's March onslaught, Hyundai released their March1 global sales results. Hyundai Motor Company announced today global sales results for March 2019, during which a total of 389,160 units were sold. In Korea, domestic sales recorded a 3.7 percent year-over-year increase in March, reaching 70,111 units. Overseas Sales Sales in overseas markets decreased by 3.4 percent compared to March 2018, with 319,049 units sold, as the consumer demand slowed in China and Latin America. Other emerging markets, such as Russia and the Asia-Pacific region, showed healthy growths in sales. Hyundai plans to build new momentum with the rollout of Palisade, a new flagship SUV scheduled to be launched in the U.S. in the latter half of this year, as well as of other vehicles tailored to meet customers’ demands. The company will also swiftly respond to market trends and customer needs by establishing a system stressing the role of the regional headquarters with greater autonomy. Wayne
