The fourth generation Santa Fe, Hyundai Motor’s first and largest SUV represents the company’s SUV push. Despite

Hyundai released its first facts about the all-new 4th gen Santa Fe, with its world premiere in February before making its debut at the Geneva Motor Show in early March.

The new Santa Fe will arrive with Hyundai’s latest active safety features under what it is calling “Smart Sense”. The new Santa Fe will include a Rear Occupant Alert monitor to detect rear seat passengers and alerts the driver when leaving the car. The Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning is now enhanced by an automated braking function. To avoid the risk of collision when reversing out of narrow areas with limited visibility, the system warns the driver and applies the brakes automatically.

I sure wish this was being readied for Chicago as I hope to hear/see that Hyundai Sonata Hybrid drivetrain within. Fingers crossed they will do something to move far beyond that FSP 3.3L they were offering in the current gen. #FingersCrossed

The "K" cousin had a press release late last year that has a little sentence near the end - Says that a planned diesel powerplant is under development. That'd be the right solution for this "H" cousin - With the torque of the 3.3 and almost twice the distance on a gallon.

    Hi Chris:

Still hoping they will add the Sonata HEV and PHEVs drivetrain to the all-new 2019 4th gen?

Hyundai unveiled its first rendering of the upcoming All-New 4th gen Santa Fe reflecting the Flying H Brands SUV design identity.

The exterior rendering highlights the large cascading grille complimented by a separate thin headlight system featuring divided daytime running lights (DRLs) and a edge to edge chrome trim piece creating an "Audiesque" like modern look.

The profile with the character line running from the headlights to the taillights looks good.
