Welcome back to the grind :D

I’m on vacation (if you hadn’t guessed ;)) and I’ve been for a 30.3 mile / 3 hour bike ride on the 650b hardtail down a local canal path. The canal was frozen over and I was breaking ice as I was riding! Hard work but enjoyable!

The average gas price has dropped since last week but I haven’t had time to get the details .

Took my car for annual inspection just around the corner from work. Round trip 14 mpg / 0.6 mi. Could be worse. Could be much worse.

Yeah, they probably had it idling for a few minutes at least, plus in and out of the shop. Thankfully annual inspections are something we don't have to do.

    46.1 - 4 mi. to work.
58.3 - 5.6 mi. home with a small detour to the gas station. Temp steady today 26-28*F.
Low fuel light came on today. Didn't fill up yet, did some strategic gas buying instead. I had a fuel discount on my liter log from gassing up the work van, 14 liters for 25 cents. :)
I get a better overall discount where I usually buy my gas so I'll fill up at year end. I like to do that anyway to track annual consumption.

    Gord the Ironman, wow.

Not too shabby for having lights and wipers beyond the sticky water effects, Andrew...

Had to make an unexpected trip to pick up something for my wife's present last night. 45.2 - 2.9 mi. to the store, 21*F. Return trip was almost perfect, not much traffic and hit most of the lights. 72.5 - 2.9 mi. :)

    44.4 - 4 mi. to work, 10*F. 56.7 - 4.7 mi. home, 21*F. Expected snow this afternoon but hasn't come in yet.

43.5 - 4 mi., 10*F to work. Just a skiff of snow, not the dump that was predicted.
Trip home was a disaster. 7*F, 10 mph wind, I worked late so couldn't plug in, needed defrost to see and I got caught in stop and crawl traffic. Took 8 minutes to go 1/3 mile.
    35.6 - 4.7 mi. home.

Gord, is it a special day in the UK to remember past relatives (like Memorial Day in the US)?

Not too bad, but my pond overflow had a little erosion. I have 2 24" pipes, and the water was halfway up both of them, just DUMPINg out. Some slight erosion beside the pipe that needs attention. The golf course in town was a lake, but it's built on the low ground where houses are unwise.

    44.6 / 2.7 - from work to store
    49.7 / 5.0 - home
    53.4 / 11.4 - school and work this morning.

Tank is steady at 50.2 / 348 mi, right on 1/2.

Had a new battery fitted in the Jazz/Fit Si today, I’ve not had confidence lately when FAS’ing especially with lights on and found starting was a bit iffy! Much better with new battery, loads of FAS and managed 55.2mpg over 2.5 miles back from garage even though it was uphill :D
