AL Judge Roy Moore

Yes - Roy Moore is banned from his local mall - because he is a sexual predator.

He also is paying himself through his own "charity", even though he said he would not have a salary.

 

It's just troubling that this has turned into the usual tribal partisan morass instead of any real process of justice-seeking.

 

There is no justice. There will not be any justice. All we can do ( men AND women) is to live our OWN lives in a responsible and ethical way.

 

Roy Moore wants us to think is partisan. But it isn't - the women (children!) he attacked are seeking justice; nothing more.

 

You're not wrong, but on the other hand, it's following the usual Demican/Republicrat shouting match split. Sad and degrading both to the wronged parties and our society.

Yes, well-known Democrat Mitch McConnell has said that Roy Moore should step down. Totally following that split.

 

It seems that there is a sitting senator that has a harassment problem,
but HMMMM..... silence on that one.

 

Been on the road all day, just saw the Al Franken news. I think he should be investigated, though what he did is a) awful and b) not nearly as heinous as what Roy Moore has been credibly accused of.

Still for the people in the back: all men who use their power to abuse or assault women should face justice.

I guess the question is. What is the standard. Are allegations good enough or must there be some evidence.

 

Bit of a low bar but it's nevertheless a good thing.

Still I made the mistake of visiting social media...progressive friends are seething and using the opportunity to cast all republicans as vile, GOP friends are embarrassed and trying to file off the corners despite knowing full well this ain't the place for that kind of loyalty.

 

i am not defending him or his actions. They appear to be awful. If true he should be punished.
But at the same time, think of the standard you are proposing. The high number of charges equals guilty. Really. Also, why be so vile about it. Granted the accusations are bad, but not proven and also he has denied them. Why don't I see the same level of outrage at Franken when his actions have evidence.
Just because there is an accusation doesn't mean it is true. Do you remember the Duke lacrosse case.

So it is OK to harrass and humiliate women if it is a comedy. That is sick. I would think you would be outraged at that. But you seem to be defending it.
