Can ScanGauge Clear Ford Escape Hybrid Battery Blend Door Code?

My 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid threw the infamous "battery blend door" code B1239. The yellow wrench warning light in the dash comes on occasionally but remains off most of the time.

I'm working on replacing the battery blend door actuator myself. Once I'm done, though, I need a way to clear the code from the PCM, right? Will Scan Gauge do that? Or does the code clear itself? I have ForScan Lite, but not ScanGauge. Wondering if I need to order a Scan Gauge....

Just upgrade to the full version of ForScan. It is free.

Thanks for the tip. I didn't know you can upgrade for free. However, I think the regular version runs on Windows only. I don't have a Windows machine, just an iPhone.

Anyway, I disconnected the car battery for several minutes, and then in ForScan Lite I still saw B1239, but then I tapped on the circular arrow next to the code, then it refreshed and the code did not come back. I'm guessing that disconnecting the battery did nothing, and ForScan Lite was able to tell the PCM to clear the code.

I decided to try changing the air filter back there first. So now I'm waiting to see if the car will throw B1239 again ... hopefully it was just a dirty air filter.
