    Welcome back to the grind The national average gas price is up a mere 0.4¢ since last week to $2.371 - this time last year it was @ $2.357 so it's only +1.8¢ more expensive now.

    Diesel has decline a smidgen to $2.510 (-0.3¢). It's now +16.5¢ more expensive than this time last year. Diesel is still hovering around 6% premium to regular.

    Monday morning , had a nice trip in : 16.2 miles ( no highway) , 82.03 MPG. Today , colder (52.5 deg F ) headwind (N7) , and highway , so not so great.35.0 miles , 62.87 MPG. Filled up this morning at $2.339/gallon. 669.4 miles/9.648 gal = 69.38 MPG. I didn't wanna believe the pump shut off so early , so I gave it another squeeze which added.10-.15 gallons. Maybe the next fill will benefit from that. :) Over-report = 6.6% , close to "normal". New tank is at 30.6 miles , 64.54 MPG.

    71.5 / 5.2 - work this morning. :D

    Tank is up to 52.9 / 174 mi and just passing F.

    more packing last night. Getting a little bit done at a time and stacking them nicely in the workroom for when we need to load to the truck in over a week. the trick is to not tape up the boxes with stuff in them that you know you will need before the move :confused:

    this morning to work
    53.5 / 13.1 miles (63F NNE@4 gusting to 10-15)
    FCD = 60.3 (-0.2)

  9. Bought a bunch of flooring from home depot. Shell was running a $0.20 per gallon discount for every $50 gift card. About $1000 in home depot gift cards. My last fill up was 20 gallons of Shell premium for $0.38. Yup, 20 gallons for $0.38.
    Next fill up should be the same. I'll play their gift card game :)

    Well, it was indeed a good route switch. Ended up with 45.4mpg indicated from Dallas to home. I think the route's a keeper! Gives me a lot more to work with.

    Welp, I traded in Zevvy (My Ford Focus) for a 2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid SEL with 66,000 miles. It was inside of our price-range, it's incredibly comfy and easy to get in and out of, which was the most important of our criteria with my disability.

    I absolutely love the car and I just bought it today! It's so incredibly quiet and smooth. Plus the gas mileage is incredible ;) I'll be trying to keep track of my miles better. Although Ford does make it easy.

Tank is at 186.1 miles , 68.82 MPG. After work today I go to health club , which means I take highway home. Tomorrow after work , I head to Barrington for a date. Back roads home from there.

    Yeah, my partner and I love Fords and the dealership closest to my house is basically the only good dealership around here, so we stick close to home! Thinking that I'm going to call her Maxine, but I'm not sure yet ;)

    Those numbers are awesome by the way @EdwinTheMagnificent
