Welcome back to the grind The national average gas price is up 10¢ since last week to $2.361 - this time last year it was @ $2.323 so it's only 2.0% (+4.8¢) more expensive now.

Diesel is creeping up again to $2.513 (+0.9¢). It's now a +19.0¢ more expensive than this time last year. Diesel is still at a 6% premium to regular.

Hi grinders, just sitting in the Italian sun sipping a nice cold Peroni.
Haven't done much driving although we have a Peugeot 308 SW hire car (diesel) - drives well. Drove from airport to holiday park via supermarket Saturday. Yesterday drove to ferry to go to island of Murano - fabulous glass blowing .
    Going back home Saturday.

    Enjoy your time, Gord!

I was back yesterday, but swamped at work. The camping trip went well. We had a Severe Thunderstorm one night, and I think our tent was the only one out of 20 in the park that stayed fully dry. :D NTK brand with a full to-the-ground rain fly. The Odyssey got ~23 mpg with 6 people and gear and a trailer hitch cargo box. It seems to be losing a bit of mpg now with 166,000 miles.

    School is out.
    64.9 / 5.2 - work yesterday morning
    45.6 / 4.4 - home in a hurry with company coming over
    63.4 / 5.2 - work this morning

    Tank is 51.7 / 103 mi, still F+.

ah, tents and Server weather, not a good combo. Good to hear nothing bad happened, except some wet campers.
sounds good Gord. I can feel it now. Oh, no that is the 85F weather we are having here. ;)

last night: that statement of "more rain could occur under thunderstorms" occurred as like you Pale, the sky opened up and just puked all over until about half way home. Then when I got home, my wife calls me while I'm writing my numbers down, and says she needs me to go get something at the Pharmacy before they close as she will not be back before they close. so...

had to mow the yard again
found out our youngest had WIFI turned off and has racked up 5.2 GB of Data since 5/22. Grrrrr.... Needless to say, her data has been turned off her phone and youtube has been disabled. All part of the rules she signed when she got a phone with real data access. I'm thinking she is going to be doing some extra chores as well.

Blah. Down to 7.5mpg. Hitting home base tomorrow with a 4am drop the following morning. Light load, so shooting for a raise to 7.6mpg :D

Got a new route worked out, so giving it a trial run on the way home tomorrow. It has both a few curves to work my double-wishbones, and the middle speeds my Civic seems to like. I'm guesstimating an extra half hour on a two hour drive, though, so I had better like both, or really enjoy one or the other.
