Welcome back to the grind :D

The national average gas price has gone up again. It's jumped 6.3¢ since last week at $2.389 - this time last year it was $2.043 so it's 16.9% (+34.6¢) more expensive.
Diesel is only up 1.2¢ at $2.515. It's now 20.3% (+42.5¢) more expensive than this time last year. Diesel is at a reducing 5.4% premium to regular.

Today , 46 deg F , wind W8. 35.1 miles , 63.52 MPG. Tank is at 352.7 miles , 62.96 MPG. Not too much driving this week ; working only four days instead of six. I'm sure I will do SOME driving Friday and Sunday , but I do try to minimize it. Lots of cycling, though. And maybe , just maybe , a new 27.5" mountain bike ? Stopping at the bike shop today to look at one. :)

Tornado. It was just after dark. Radar saw rotation, and today's preliminary investigation says EF-1. It was outside town on the other side, so ~15 miles away from me at its nearest pass.

Today , 35 deg F ,wind NNW1(calm). 35.1 miles , 59.8 MPG. Tank is at 422.6 miles , 62.4 MPG. Parking outside these days , had frost on the windshield this morning. I cheated and used the windshield washer to remove it.

Actually made it to motorway last night (had to use down and up the junction trick!) so better mpg, 2UP, 55°F, 9mph tailwind W:

    45.0 / 22.5

This morning, 49°F, 9mph headwind W. This time I drove most of the way past the big queue before the start of traffic light section but managed to get back in line before the first set:

    45.3 / 22.5

    Tank continues to drop, down 0.8 at 47.7 (FCD 50.3) / 222.5 / Range 420 . Guess gauge F__««|««««E . UG down 0.4 at 48.2 / DTE429

Warmer and dry here. 75F last night, 67 this morning.

    51.9 mpg / 5.3 mi - home
59.9 mpg / 11.5 - school and work. It was SOOO close! Based on when it turned 59.7, 59.8, 59.9, I must be at 59.94. I even pushed the car to the next parking row but didn't get that last tenth.

Tank is up a tenth to 52.5 / 573 mi. Low fuel light came on last night.

I went and filled up at lunch. New station in town, and they sell Ethanol-Free Premium. Price is steep: 2.75 / gal today. I got some for my lawn equipment in a can, and filled my car. We'll see what happens.

    585 miles
    11.283 gal
    51.85 mpg (sg said 52.4)

Then 68.2 mpg / 1.4 mi back to work, but it was downhill.
