Welcome back to the grind :D

The national average gas price has gone up a tiny 0.4¢ to $2.286 - this time last year it was $1.740 so it's 31.4% (+54.6¢) more expensive!
Diesel has risen a similarly small 0.5¢to $2.517. It's now 27.4% (+54.1¢) more expensive than this time last year when it was still below $2. Diesel is at a 10.1% premium to regular.

My turn to drive this week, car sharer's daughter came too so 3UP. Drizzle, 5.5°C, 8mph crosswind S, bit busier than normal, hampered my efforts :

    Tank down 0.1 at 44.0 (FCD 46.5) / 434.9 / Range 155 . Guess gauge F____|_«««E . UG steady at 43.5 / DTE153

Last night was rubbish again - avoided the main route out of the city, multiple detours, crawling up big hills and lots of stop/start. 2UP, 41°F, drizzling, 6mph tail/crosswind WNW:

    35.0 / 21.4

This morning, 2UP, better, frosty again 37°F, 4mph head/crosswind SW:

    46.6 / 22.6

    Tank down 0.3 at 43.5 (FCD 46.0) / 521.6 / Range 50 . Guess gauge F____|___«E . UG down 0.2 at 43.3 / DTE63

    LFL @ 514 miles

I have a slow puncture I need to try and get fixed at some point. PSI dropped to 40 from 47 when I checked it this morning.

Well, a 50 tank is not happening. I have the trailer today to borrow a friend's garden tiller.

    58.1 / 5.3 - home last night
39.6 / 11.5 - this morning with trailer, to school and work. That's my best towing mileage so far, but still nowhere near 50.

    Tank is down 0.2 to 49.0 / 518 and about 1/8 left.

Traded the trailer to the friend. He'll bring it back to work tomorrow loaded. Mid 60's and gusty wind.

    30.4 / 1.9 - to friend's work
    44.6 / 1.9 - to chick-fil-a for lunch :D
    51.3 / 2.1 - back to work

Tank 48.9 / 524. Low fuel light came on at 531 miles. (Not a typo. SG is reading low miles because of a half tank of highway)

Good luck with the tyre leak, Gord. For the many times I've had punctures, I've been able to go to a local shop that does it for practically free (new stems and balancing). I think their costs in time must exceed what they charge. However, they get you for wheel alignments whenever they can, should you be easily persuaded.

    37.7 / 20.3

This morning was a lovely run even with a small detour to avoid refuse lorry blocking the road near car pooler's house, the traffic was perfect for a long DFCO glide in 7th downhill to the slip road off the motorway, 41°F, 4mph tailwind E:

47.6 (FCD 50.2) / 22.7 - Nice to see 50+ on the FCD - doesn't happen very often on the commute in the winter!
