    Welcome back to the grind :D

    The national average gas price has dropped 0.4¢ to $2.270 - this time last year it was $1.752 (pretty much the lowest since 2009) so it's a massive 29.6% (+51.8¢) more expensive!
    Diesel has also dropped 0.4¢ at $2.506. It's now 23.8% (+48.2¢) more expensive than this time last year when it almost dropped below $2. Diesel is at an increasing 10.4% premium to regular.

    Not my turn to drive this week - car pooling :cool:

    Andrew, no idea when the shifts will stop. This morning I opted for 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM. I hope that they will call this off this week and go back to normal hours. 72hours last week, almost double than normal.

    Friday to get body work inspected by insurance:
    52.3 / 8.1 miles (33F N@7)
    49.1 / 8.1 miles (33F N@7) back to work
    home:
    49.9 / 12.9 miles (30F NE@3) after dark again.
    FCD = 49.8 (=)

    this morning dark again and fog with NO school drop off. I have not be using ICE off while it is dark to not drain the battery prematurely.
    50.5 /13.0 miles (50F SSE@5 Fog and wet wet roads.)
    FCD = 49.9 (+0.1)

    tank:
    4.38 gals converted
    217.2 miles

    Jason, nice work with the limitations you have - battery drain is a limit on what's possible.

    Edwin, you might like this better. Lunch errands.
    36.9 / 0.8
    43.1 / 1.8
    34.1 / 0.8

    Tank down 0.2 to 53.3.

    Your latitude is too high, giving him a big advantage!

    those short trips are killer, if you have to stop and start again.

    last night had to stop by Best Buy to pick a new keyboard as the one I was using I broke the CTRL key from the left side (major usage) and the space bar was sticking. I tried to fix and broke the CTRL key when putting it back in. Of course they didn't have the replacement for it so I had to get a different one that was the lesser of all the evils there. Logitech's K530 combo. (I need a new mouse anyway M510). So I ordered a replacement K750 solar powered keyboard. I love the chiclet style keyboard and low profile keys.

    Your personal altitude deficiency won't have much effect in that context.

    64 mpg (67.5 indicated) going to today's local bike ride, with temperature in the 60s. (Andrew has less latitude advantage over me.)

    I get lots of latitude. No driving in the snow storm today. 25F. 4-5 inches so far, switching to sleet and maybe rain later.

    Mother nature just keeps dishing it out. I trust Weather Underground more and it says 5-8" rather than 8-12" between Fitchburg and Worcester on the map. Another day to work from home. :)

    Edit: oh well, now wunderground is saying 8-12"... this winter is making up for something.

    Douglas Adams ? I read his books , too. A bit silly for an old guy like me, but when I read them , I was probably 25-35. Very enjoyable.

    Made my car do truck duty again. Warm 70's and sunny for now but the wind has shifted.

    60.2 / 4.9 - to the feed store. Loaded up 300 lb in the back. There was a tractor-trailer from the factory, a flatbed farm truck, 2 pickup trucks, and me. :p
    53.6 / 3.1 - to Lowes for a new garage door opener. I get to learn how these work now.
    40.5 / 2.0 - work

    Tank is back down a tenth to 53.3 / 241 and 3/4 full.

    Today , 13.5 deg F , wind NW9. 35.1 miles , 50.68 MPG. Brrrr............ I did try to leave my heat on for the 3.9 miles after getting off the highway. After 1.2 miles , the coolant temp dropped to 145 deg and engine would not stay off. No , I don't have a grille block. 35.1 miles , not 35.0 ? Simple. The tires got smaller.
