    Welcome back to the grind

    The national average gas price has dropped 3.6¢ to $2.274 - this time last year it was $1.804 (nearly the lowest since 2009) so it's a massive 26.1% (+47¢) more expensive!
    Diesel has dropped 1.1¢ at $2.510. It's now 22.3% (+45.7¢) more expensive than this time last year. Diesel is at an increasing 10.4% premium to regular.

    Today , 36.5 deg F , wind W14. 35.0 miles , 59.8 MPG. Didn't have a pen in the car , so that's all I could remember. Will make an appointment for my 40K oil change for next Tuesday. It's around 39,500 miles right now. And it's warmer here than in Texas.

    Well last night didn't get out of work until 8:00 PM so that was LONGGGGGG day
    53.3 / 12.9 miles (52F SSW@5)
    FCD = 51.6 (+0.9)

    this morning got in the car and closed the door and CRASH the back window exploded. I had heard this once before when my truck had the window cracked from bb's. Well same thing last night. Not very funny at all. 5:30 AM and late for work and trying to clean up glass. The back glass on mine was mostly gone after the blow out. The back drivers side quarter panel had a bb whole in it and was all cracked. I taped (in side and out) it all up to keep it solid. I pushed most of the back glass out and taped the raw edges and then covered the back with plastic and taped it. My wives sonata's back glass had two bb's holes by the third light and about 7 or so dings in the trunk. I have a few on the hatch body work. PD is investigating the rash across the city last night. Like we will see any justice on this. Not a good way to start the day on an already stressful week. Now, I have to get the glass replaced when I can't really be away from the office. Good think that it is not raining. Hopefully I can get away and get this done before the weekend when it is supposed to rain.

    No School drop off again
    44.1 / 13.0 miles (33F E@1) with CC set to about 45. 55 on the highway part started the plastic popping so tried not to pop it out or get any glass on the road.
    FCD = 50.5 (-1.1) lack of focus on HM and trying to get to work 45 minutes late.

    tank:
    1.90 gals converted
    94.2 miles

    yep sorry Gord. BB - Ball Barrings usually about 5ml in diameter, made out of steel. Usually method is a pump action gun, but they now come with CO2 canisters for more power.

    Tuesday going home and parking backwards in the drive way to put the damaged window close to the garage door an then covered the front with cardboard (for frost and any thing else)
    53.2 / 12.9 miles (51F NE@8)
    FCD = 50.9 (+0.4)

    Wed morning no school drop off due to being a work early
    47.4 / 13.0 miles (39F NE@10)
    FCD = 50.6 (-0.3)

    to glass place for replacements
    51.1 / 14.1 miles
    FCD = 50.8 (+0.2)

    enterprise pickup, they didn't have a full size car or any thing else on the lot, just a Dodge grand caravan and and Ford Excursion. (um let me think........) just give me the van. It has 21.9 on the MPG gauge. I reset it. It now has 23.0 on it from mostly going the speed limit to work x2 and work to home last night. the transmission is not very good, it wants to shift down way to much and from stop it is very jerky with applying the power. This is why we don't have a van let alone a Caravan. I will be glad to give this back. My wife got a Fiat 500 max or something. It was sitting off the road higher than a normal 500. She didn't like it either and said it was only getting about 25 MPG for her. She got her car back yesterday (her car was pictured in the news here as they did a piece on the rash. there have been 50 reports of issues over the city now) http://www.koamtv.com/story/3440525...alism-police-say-connected-cases-may-increase

    the police officer that talked with my wife liked that I had put tape where the damage was as it made it easier for him to find the damage :0)

    Glass place just called me so I will be heading to enterprise, then get my car back.
