Hi All: Found this beauty online the other day. It might be a good time to turn around... #efficient #long #distance #traveler #CleanMPG
As a friend of mine crosses the Great Plaines today, I suspect he would love to run into a storm that looks like this. The contrast of gently swaying golden wheat and the ominous dark gray/black sky is awe inspiring. #efficient #long #distance #traveler #CleanMPG
Wow Those pictures are so pretty they look fake. We crossed the TX panhandle many times-it is a bit like the midwest plains But it has depopulated areas-and towns that used to have many more people-deserted farm houses My point is it is so odd for a place that is so dry-so little rain-to have such BAD weather. Heavy winds rain driven parallel stunning thunder and lightning and of course tornados The panhandle might have 15-20 inches of precipitation per year-but terrible weather Great photos of course
You've heard of shock and awe... my lawn's mostly in shock, but we never planted grass after the geothermal pipes went into the bore holes and everything filled back in, so not bad, considering. I'm too ashamed to share a picture.
I installed a new window today...just in time for torrential rain and marble-size hail. That was probably the worst storm I've seen in the 6 years we've been here. Also, I learned that un-cured caulk is water-soluble! Guess I'll be back up a ladder in the morning., but it could have been a lot worse.
