    Nissan February 2016 Sales Overview

    Nissan announced that it sold 130,911 vehicles in the U.S. during February, up 10.5 percent over the 118,436 sold during February of 2015. It was also a February sales record.

    Year to date, Nissan sold 236,645 vehicles, up 6.3 percent over the 222,543 sold through the same period of 2015. This result occurred with two fewer selling days indicating the daily selling rate is up 10.8 percent!

    In addition, Honda has been a solid 4th place seller in the U.S. for years, it appears that Nissan has the product to not only compete with the stalwart Honda but has a lineup capable of beating them. It should be an interesting year as these two Japanese manufacturers results are released over the coming months.

    All-in, Nissan continues its winning ways thanks to beautiful and excellent products that are value priced.

    Nissan February 2016 Sales Highlights


    Sales of the refreshed Sentra sedan set a new February record 20,599 vehicles, up a smart 34.2 percent over the 15,354 vehicles sold in February of 2015. Year to date sales of 36,743 vehicles is up 23.5 percent over the 29,749 vehicles sold through the same period of 2015.

    The beautiful Maxima sedan – the only 300 hp car I have ever driven to over 45 mpgUS – was picked up by 5,222 new owners in February, up 128 percent over the 2,290 sold in February of 2015. Year to date, this smoking hot sedan was picked up by 9,637 owners, up 117.3 percent over the 4,434 sold through the same period of 2015.

    Sales of Nissan crossovers, trucks and SUVs set a February record, up 14 percent.

    Another super driver was the gorgeous Murano CUV. In February there were 7,445 new owners, up 85.9 percent over the 4,005 sold in February of 2015. Year to date, Nissan has sold 12,961 Murano’s, up 66.6 percent over the 7,778 sold through the same period of 2015.

    Nissan's total car sales set a February record with 69,630 in sales, up 12 percent.


    In February GM and especially Chrysler picked up significant market share while Kia's rise is coming out of Hyundai's hide.

    In February, notice how Nissan is increasing the sales gap over Honda and Kia not only overtook Subaru but is quickly coming up on Hyundai’s heels.

    The seasonally adjusted annual selling rate (SAAR) for light vehicles in February was 17.7 million vehicles.

    Nissan Canada February Sales up 13.8% with 9,011 Vehicles Sold

    Hi All:

    Nissan Canada released its February sales in which it sold 9,011 vehicles, up 13.8 percent over last February’s 7,919 vehicles sold. This Canadian result was the best February in the company's history and the 31st consecutive month of record sales for the Nissan Group in Canada.

    Nissan Canada February Highlights

    Nissan's best-selling vehicle in Canada - the Nissan Rogue CUV - set a February record with 2,033 vehicles sold, up 7.5 percent over the 1,891 sold in February of 2015. Year to date the Rouge is doing even better with sales of 4,122 vehicles, up 9.5 percent over the 3,765 vehicles sold through the same period in 2015. It was also the 27th consecutive month of record sales.

    The Murano crossover set a new February sales record at 790 vehicles, up 41.8 percent over the 557 sold in February of 2015. Year to date, Murano sales of 1,779 vehicles is up 57.4 percent over the 1,130 sold during the same period of 2015. And rightfully so given the best in segment exterior design, interior materials and layout, overall utility and excellent highway efficiency.

    My wife is truly smitten with the looks and the interior of the Murano and Maxima. In all actuality, she would take the Murano due to her preference of sitting up high. That and needing the space for a cargo holder.

    She quickly loses these feelings when she is parking and can whip the Crosstrek into any spot without thinking.
