    It's warmer here than in the UK ! But tomorrow we will have serious snow.

    Our prices jumped 20 cents in 48 hours. It was $1.399 and when to $1.599.
    Friday night:
    56.8 / 13.0 miles (48F SSW@10) tired as I left work almost 1 hour later. So was not trying to hard and needed the lights on)
    FCD = 55.4 (-0.1)

    Raked up the Sweet gumballs from the front and back yards this weekend, (since it was 70F). I hate those spikey balls. Also mowed the yard again to wack the dead grass down. Quick clean up of the garden. Not time to really get after the garden yet.

    This morning with school drop off (threw the battery minder on it this weekend)
    - 50.1 / 13.1 miles (40F S@11)
    FCD = 55.3 (-0.1)

    tank:
    5.60 gals converted
    303.3 miles

    That's not bad. My last fill was $1.999. But we are usually well above the national average.

    I trimmed bushes and chainsawed a fallen tree this weekend. It was a sweet gum. The new house has loads of those.

    One time I was mowing and they were pop-popping in the mower, and one shot out, ricocheted off the tree trunk, and smacked me in the side of the head. That HURT! :mad:

    Today , 29.5 deg F , considerable headwind ENE 17 , freezing rain. Still , I had hoped for a bit better than this : 51.7 *.93 = 48.08 MPG for 34.4 miles. I had to use defrost for most of the 8 miles before I got on the highway. I usually don't pull ANY heat from the engine until then. When I got off the highway , things were a bit better , but the wind still discouraged my glides. This is probably my worst inbound commute in this car ever.

    Had to go out of town for work. Filled Malibu (25/36) and got 23.5 MPG over 220 miles, most of which were in town...stop and go in below freezing weather.

    On the way home, drove speed limit, temps in high 20s, managed 41.6 MPG on highway and 38.6 once I got into town....
