    Filled up on the Yaris: 424.1 miles/8.658 gallons = 49.0 mpg. This was a mixed method tank as my wife drove some. I discovered the fuel gauge works fine except when I'm P&G'ing. Seems to take it a few minutes of continuous operation to update.

    Gord, sorry to hear about the 'off road' adventure.
    Andrew, I have not seen one for mine yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if I see one later.
    Tylermac, most things that are in cars were not designed for how we use them here.

    Friday night:
    - 63.6 / 12.9 miles (67F W@5)
    FCD = 57.3 (+0.6)

    Temps soared to the upper 70's F here on Saturday. Our temp outside our house was 82F. :eek:

    This morning with school drop off:
    - 49.0 / 13.1 miles (34F ENE@4)
    FCD = 56.7 (-0.6)

    tank:
    3.14 gals converted
    174.0 miles

    Jason, I haven't seen a formal announcement. Someone on fitfreak.net mentioned it. I went to safercar.gov to look and sure enough, there it is since last week.

    Borrowed a pool car to go on a 3 day training course near London. Set off at 05:20 and got here 3 hours later.
    It's an '07 Skoda Octavia Estate Auto (6spd DSG).
    47.8 / 167.2
    Went a bit faster than normal ;)

    So, mine is in the same bin your is in Andrew as mine is a 2011. I guess we wait for a letter???
    Gord, I fixed the title of the thread with the price for this week. Pretty decent numbers for that trip "going faster than normal".

    Thanks Edwin and Jason. It's a diesel, not sure which one but probably VW's 2.0 TDI. It pulls and glides well. 'N' glides are easy and there's reasonable engine braking. Only needed semi-manual once on a very steep hill to stop me exceeding PSL without use of brakes :)

    Today 36 deg F , nasty steady (head)wind NNE 21 MPH. This resulted in 34.3 miles , 55.2*.93 = 51.33 MPG . Ouch . But on the way home ( all-scenic) yesterday I drove 40.4 miles , 69.2 *.93 = 64.35 MPG which brings my tank to............ exactly where it was Tuesday morning. 449.3 miles , 62.1*.93 = 57.75 MPG. Hello, snowstorm !

    Rain and humidity = AC. Battery a bit low = more engine on time. MPG = :(

    42.8 / 5.4 - home
    46.7 / 8.4 - school and work

    Tank down 2.3 to 52.2 / 65 mi, still F+.

    Yep I know what you mean Andrew = :(. Have you not plugged in your battery minder?

    Last night:
    - 48.2 / 13.0 miles (38F N@15 gusting to 23 - miserable walk to the car in the driving rain. Then had to use AC (to defog from all the evaporated moisture from my cloths while driving), lights and wipers so I employed the CC as low as I could on the roads to help. Still almost 15-20 MPG off where I have been able to get on the way home that last few days.)
    FCD = 56.3 (-0.5)

    This morning with school drop off:
    - 49.6 / 13.1 miles (35 NE@15 which was a lovely head wind grrrrrr!)
    FCD = 55.8 (-0.5) that is -1.0 MPG from the tank in 24 hours :eek:

    Tank:
    4.15 gal converted
    226.0 miles

    Battery minder is on another piece of equipment that didn't start for me this weekend. I might need another one.

    Today , 32.5 deg F. Headwind today was less than yesterday , but still a steady 15 MPH. Lost 2nd to last pip at 507 miles , last pip not yet flashing when I got to work at 517.2 miles. 34.5 miles , 58.6 *.93 = 54.49 MPG. Tank is at 517.2 miles , 61.6 * .93 = 57.29 MPG. The snow "storm" yesterday only amounted to about an inch in my neck of the woods. But roads were definitely wet and traffic patterns were less predictable.. I will fuel up on the way home tonight.

    Charged overnight.
    56.4 / 8.3 - school and work

    Tank +0.4 to 52.6 / 79 mi.
