I normally commute 160 miles per day and have 4 tanks on hold for logging but this is a little reactionary. The site is a tremendous resource and since the software has been recently upgraded we must all be patient until the loose ends are tied together. I am thankful for this site and I trust that Wayne made the transition for good reasons. We all know there are usually some bumps when improvements are made in the mysterious world of the internet. And the holiday schedule gives many of us some time away from the daily grind. Happy Holidays! Long live the Mileage Logs!
Hi Schuylkill: Working hard on getting the place back in order in short order. I shut down the old server in just 4 more days and we have everything backed up. I hope the mileage logs coming over will work as expected as I know many of you have hundreds of hours invested in them. Wayne
Wayne, Does Matthew have any details he could share that would give us some information on how things stand on this? Thanks, Russ
Maybe he can reinstall the old server just for mileage logs. Approaching 2 months since last mileage log entered.
I'm trying to keep track of lots of little scraps of paper. I do also log it in the Daily Grind thread , so I should be able to rebuild from that.
At this point I'm using a google spreadsheet. I just want my past 8 years logs. Can I have my data? I really shouldn't have trusted one source for this very reason.
Fuelly works well, they have many of the same features as the old mileage logs here did. That doesn't really help you to get your data, though
If it ends up that there isn't a way to integrate the logs in to ZenForo, maybe Matthew can open up the database and export the logs for those who want them? @xcel , have you guys contacted XenForo for assistance? From what I understand, they have been very helpful to other forum owners with migration issues.
To all those who are complaining about the mileage logs : How much are you paying to use this site ? Thought so.
I'm back after several months (without fuel-ups) and I'm surprised. But okay, I'll wait. Not that I have fill ups too often.
