    Hi Mendel:

This one is weird. I see you as a registered user and Registered users have permission to upload attachments.

Charlie, are you missing the Upload File button on this page too?

I will have Matthew take a look as well because you should have the ability to upload to a thread of your own both on a PC and smartphone directly.

I am heading to Xenforos forum and see if I can find a reason and answer over there.

    Sorry about that. :(

    Hi Mendel:

I signed up as a new Registered user and you are so right, no option to upload attachments but I can upload to the gallery. As mentioned, looks like all the permissions are right and I am at a dead end right now. I will look around some more and as always, thanks for bringing this to my attention. This is a big deal and one of the reasons I moved to this forum software. Easier to use from a smartphone.

I checked this Test users Preferences and it looks like I should be able to upload attachments directly into threads too?

    Hi Mendel:

I found a setting in the individual forums permissions that allows attachment uploads as a registered user.

I logged in as Xcel-Test, a standard registered user, and I can upload apparently to all the forums now. A 16 Civic sedan is attached.

Can you confirm you can upload to all forums from both your PC and smartphone on your end?

    Thanks in advance.

Wayne while logged in as a test subject. :)

Wayne, I THOUGHT I'd posted the above last night, last thing, saw it posted and all. Then this morning when I checked I see your latest postings and my post (with image) is reverted to being in an edit window.

So hit post again, maybe just a bug?

Interface now is very similar to priuschat, and phone friendly to boot!

And from a pc, with Internet Explorer:

This is great, much more convenient for phone use, and any sort of on-the-fly image posting.

    Hi Mendel:

Thanks so much for being a test subject! :)

I did not know Registered Users had no Upload capability until you mentioned it. Not that this matters but the fix was to turn on Attachments in just one of the Node settings and everything woke up? I think? The forums User and Permission settings for attachments were setup properly so who knows.

You can post as a thumbnail or a full image with the More Options too. I am still learning.

I agree that they would be extremely helpful but they say I don't have any Watched Forums or Watched threads when I have seen many on my iPad2. Does it work for you? Just get it fixed please.

Let's say you want to keep an eye out on the Hyundai sub forum, you can click the "watch forum" button/link and set the alerts to either alerts only or get an alert and an email when a new thread is posted there.
Same goes for a thread that you find interesting, you can watch it and set the alerts the same way as well.

That works but you have to click on all watched threads once you are there.

    Hi All:

e90Diesel sent me a note that he cannot post in any forums. Does anyone have any problems like his? I checked his permissions and they are all standard Registered User. PM me if you do?

    Hi All:

Matthew just informed me that all the old links are now working again. Something to do with working off an older php?

Let me know if they work for you?

Yes!!!! I'm glad I don't have to re-do the links in the steady state fuel economy thread, I tried a few and they all worked :D

Alerts doesn't seem to be working. I think if I've contributed to a thread, from there on I should see an alert when others contribute?

Will add that one to the list. :(

So I'm assuming the mileage logs still aren't functioning?

Also, the thread tools clickable item near the top of the page seems to be more admin tools. At least I hope I can't delete the thread, I didn't want to give that a try. I was hoping for an easy way to search just this thread.

Wayne, I don't think I even saw this thread in the "New Reply" category; now a few days later I clicked on my "content" to see, and see there are a couple of new responses. Still, even as-is, there's a LOT more utility on the site now. :)

If you want to burden yourself even more, PriusChat's implementation of this interface has a few nice features, maybe it's built-in, but needs to be activated:

    1. More info in the Avatars, like: your car, how long you've been a member, postings/likes.

    2. A pop-up arrow that appears when every you scroll a bit on a phone, that allows you to zip to top of page, when viewing on a phone. Iphones, for example, do a have a shoot to top of page function, but it's somewhat tricky. Here's what the pop-up looks like:

    image.jpeg

    3. A pop-up that signals you have new alerts. Currently on Priuschat it's broken on MS Internet Explorer, but works on an Iphone.

    Hi Medel:

Thanks. Did you receive it by e-mail or the notification up on top of any CleanMPG page?
