That is not a bad price for the stated capability and the dramatic reduction in fuel and maintenance costs. Production versions of the vectrix, www.vectrix.com and the enertia www.brammo.com are $11,000 and $12,000 respectively and they are far less capable. I'd be concerned about the safety of the Li-Ion cells though.

Now this bike looks great , has good power, and is super eco friendly , Im in for this one if they mass produce it ....
That article was (understated) praise for Electric Motorsport in Oakland. Now we know that they have been doing E bike conversions for years. Electric commuting on 2 wheels has a HUGE future and these folks are in the thick of it. Very, very nice. The lithium unit pictured needs some protection around the batteries though. A lay-down is going to be awfully expensive... DAS
