Try the Víago app, $1.99, download maps are $20 for a North America and $20 for Europe , traffic is around $10
Been using it for a month now with iPhone 6 , works great
It work great in Italy, Greece and Turkey and it the Mediterranean

    HI Airblaancer:

Have not used Viago but have used plenty of other NAVI apps incl. Garmin's own. None come close to a real Garmin unit.

    What a strange statement

If you have a smartphone , then there no extra cost
If you buy the downloadable maps there no service charge ($20 for North America, $20 for Europe)

Take your Garmin to Europe and try use it for the day walking around , you will be getting Víago pretty quickly

Garmin will only last about 3 hours on battery, which will not get you to far , and their Euro maps are close to $100 to download

You have to get the right tool for the right job :D

My old nav was a garmin , so for $1.99 it a great deal.
To get live traffic it is $20, which I do not have, not much traffic where I am :D

If you do not want a lot of screens on your dash , it works
I have used this in Europe in the cities and have alleys for streets and always found my way out :p

I own a Garmin nuvi 2555LMT and I like it. My stepmom has one, as well - but we have learned not to leave the cord plugged in while you are not using it - bouncing on the plug is a quick way to break it.

So, I bought a nuvi 65LM (with lifetime maps) and I am giving my 2555 to her. Transferring my saved places was a little frustrating, but it worked - and I transferred her's to my old unit. $119 at Costco, and 6" screen - so far so good!

I recently bought a Garmin nuvi 57LM from Amazon. The lower right region of its touch screen didn't respond. A replacement is supposedly on the way.
