It used to be a fact that the Earth was flat. It was not a theory. People positing otherwise were jailed. If it had been just a theory, people would not have been jailed for questioning it. You have now said gravity is a theory, putting it on the same footing as evolution, so that is something. There is quite a body of evidence for both concepts. Yet neither is immutable absolute truth. We don't need them to be. You continue to couch a related set of theories in terms indicating a lack of supporting evidence and to misstate the meaning of science terms as though mere theories are only untested hypotheses. We bristle because in the Midwest it seems not very far from the flat-earth situation all to often these days.
The kettle accusing the pot of being intolerant? No one is less tolerant than the Ken Ham's of the world. Claiming the Bible is true, therefore all contrary evidence is a sin.
I am not defending Ken Ham at all. So don't lump me in with him. Criticize me all you want. If you don't like something I said call me on it. Just don't lump me in with someone else that I have not claimed to be part of.
I will fight both for your right to practice your religious beliefs and for the integrity of the science education of our children.
Yea, close to there. I went back to see some friends a few years back and was amazed at how Kellogg had changed. I left in 1993.
