Hi All: Last week I picked up two passengers in Oceanside and they were headed to Tonopah Ave. I mentioned that name is a town in NV where they store the F-117 Stealth Fighters. One thing lead to another and we were talking about Top Gun and the new Top Gun coming soon. The rider said I am going to show you something... He guided me to a street on the coast and there it was. The house that Kelly Mcgillis was renting when Tom Cruise showed up on his bike was right in front of me. While dilapidated, it is being restored with a Hotel Complex going in next door. Top Gun House Oceanside, California My 4th night in the San Diego market and I see a house in a favorite movie of mine. Riders in San Diego sure can be hospitable! Wayne
The wild Chickens of Maui... Maui is the second largest of the 137 islands comprising the Hawaiian Islands chain. Maui's crown jewel is the Haleakala National Park which includes the island’s highest volcanic peak at 10,323 ft. ASL. The Haleakalā Volcano itself forms more than 75 percent of the land mass above water. Enough of this volcano stuff! Maui's 30 miles of beaches are legendary for their splendor and seclusion. I hope they live up to their billing. According to locals, the wild chickens do not taste very good which almost eliminates their demise as a food source. Maybe chicken soup could become a new Hawaiian island staple? Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
If the floor under the carpet is the way the carpet looks, you won't need the beers..... maybe mountain climbing ropes to arrest any fall-throughs.
Hi All: I grew up when Roger Decoster was destroying the 500 cc class on a Suzuki in the late 60's and early 70s all over the world, Marty Smith owned the 125 cc class on his Honda CRs in the early 70s, and Bob "Hurricane" Hannah on his Yamaha YZ was laying waste to the 125 cc and than the 250 cc classes in the late 70s and early 80s. One of the first bikes that changed the game providing the consumer long range front and rear ends and a reliably powerful small displacement motor was the 1975 Suzuki RM 125. 1975 Suzuki RM125 Just saying. There's something very appealing about the throttle response of a good two-stroke single. My first motorcycle was a Yamaha DT1 ( 250cc) It was heavy but had a great engine. 50 MPH on woods trails was easy , especially when you're 18. Much later , I owned a Husqvarna ( trying to recall the exact model name ) WR430. For an air-cooled bike , it was scary fast.
Hi All: One CyberTruck will last longer than the other CyberTruck. I will leave it up to the readers understanding to decide on which. Wayne
