Illinois being one of them... The first shipment of 2010 Sachs MadAss 125's are now available on dealer showrooms. Despite tough economic times, dealers are reporting brisk sales. The MadAss is something that appeals to a group of riders that want to stand out in a crowd and draw attention everywhere they go. You will stand out of course but it is probably not the kind of recognition you may have wanted Consumers are looking for fuel efficient alternative transportation like scooters and small displacement motorcycles. And this 125 delivers. Riders are reporting between 85 and 110 mpg. The MadAss has an exclusive Sachs engineered frame design that is the whole key to how the bike handles so well. The banana swing arm, the rear mono shock, and main frame all run parallel to each other. This allows jolts from the rear wheel to be sent forward into the front suspension, and not up into the rider. Fuel is carried in the frame, and together you get an incredibly light and nimble machine weighing just 209 lbs. Other design features include twin 55 watt headlights, dual disc brakes, low profile tubeless tires on 16" alloy rims, and 43 mm front forks. I think I would rather ride a 2009 Honda CRF 230L myself but the Sachs 125 looks like an inexpensive but interesting design with the low maintenance single piece wheels, rear suspension layout and integral fuel tank.
Hi Sean: ___125 cc +/- 3 cc 's maybe... Top speed for an 11 HP 125 would be in the 55 mph range. ___Useless for many as the FE only adequate for something that small plus not highway rideable in some states make it a toy instead of a serious commuter machine. ___Good Luck ___Wayne
They don't show it next to a human so I'm having trouble gauging the actual size. I've had visioins of using a pocket motorcycle in certain situations. I agree more of a toy, but possibly useful for an urban dweller if they don't have a place to park a full sized motorcycle. Edit: oh wow its alot bigger than I thought !
I could almost get away with this. My newest commute route is mostly 45 psl, and I don't often have to go that fast.
How does the article show a price tag of about $2600 and then the link above this post takes you to a dealer that shows it for $600??

I called Moto Scoot in Wisconsin and the guy was not sure what happened but he did say that it is not his site and retail was around $2600. When I told him the site listed it as $600 he asked...... Is that in dollars? lol I gave him the web address and he was shocked to see his phone number and logo too. - Dale
