They let my boss at work go. They "eliminated the position". I'm starting to not like where the company is headed. But I'm kind of hoping that I get let go as well. It would give me more times for this site and I could use a nice vacation. I'd be fine financialy as I have plenty of money in the bank right now. It will definatly be a double edged sword when they decide to let me go.
Yeah, I'm feeling the same way where I am working. I could use a nice long sabbatical. I'm lucky because If I got laid off, my wife could start working full time and we would be able to squeak by. Heck, I could still afford to go to hybridfest.
Hey Guys; Ditto here on the Letting go of personnel. They just let go the "Systems Administrator" at the dealership. They don't replace employees either, they just reallocate the work amongst the remaining employees. Like myself. Terry Btw, It's not going to get any better (IMO) either.

man you think you have bad news, my family lost their whole house! and now finidng a place to live is going to be tough. Tough times ahead.
I hope things will be alright for you, Tom. I'm not fond of the uncertainity in the typical work envirnoment in 2006.
