Hi Dave: ___This one has been hanging over my head like a guillotine for many months now. With the XT250 and HCH-II review ahead, the CleanMPG decals and possible T-Shirt store to setup and pulling 7-days a week, this one might have to wait until fall when things slow down just before the Auto Show season ramps up our work load all over again ___Jstol, Dave said it right, You cannot create threads in the News, Review or Article forums but you can everywhere else. ___Good Luck ___Wayne
Hello all. Another diesel Jetta here. Im happy to get any and all tips to increase my mileage. Last tank 1024 miles on 15 gallons. 67 MPG. I love my car!!!!:woot::flag::Banane01:
Been on the site for a little while now and after some reading I achieved my best yet MPG of 32.48 in my 98 SUbaru FOrester AWD 5 speed. Going good soo far.
I log 2K to 3K per month, ergo as soon as I have owned my FOCUS long enough to reach 5K miles I will be back to get on the list... Thanks to all for your help and advice.
Can someone post what the criteria is to get on this list? What does it mean to be on the list? No long explanation necessary, just a quick recap please.
Over 5,000 miles logged. Skilled: beating (> 100%) the EPA combined mileage for your car. Expert: >125% epa Elite: >150% epa This is using the pre-2008, unadjusted epa ratings. The ratings are a bit different for 2008+ vehicles. I believe it's something like 110%, 135% and 160% for those, since the new ratings are lower.
Thanks, Nyt_Muves. 5,000 miles will not come for me in that car for a couple of years. I guess I will have some time with my new aero mods to boost my mpg so that I can be in the highest category.
You need to enter your car and then log 5000 miles to earn one of the ratings. Click on mileage logs, enter your car and then after you have logged 5000 mi of "tanks" you will be rated either skilled, expert or elite. You will show up right away and you can track your progress.
Does the 5000 miles have to be in the same car or can I take the total from the two? Haven't I already entered my car? Is there anything else that I need to do? l l l V
You'll get your tag in the mileage logs automatically. This list here is manually updated, and way behind schedule.
