Bus R&D leads the way in next generation vehicle safety

Buses are currently considered the safest means of public and private transportation available in terms of person-miles traveled. Two things make buses so safe: The first has to do with the sheer number of safety systems included which can intervene in critical situations. The second is that unlike most car drivers with similar passive and active safety systems, most bus drivers are well trained and drive responsibly avoiding dangerous situations to begin with.
