Smart Fortwo Micro-hybrid-drive awarded in Europe

2008 European Micro-hybrid-drive variant of the Smart Fortwo proves to be a stellar FE performer. The German environmental research institute ?ko-Trend has awarded their top environmental award to the Smart Fortwo with MHD (micro hybrid drive). The Wuppertal-based independent institute scored the Smart Fortwo MHD with top marks for all its environmental related criteria. The 71 hp gasoline mild-hybrid scored an excellent rating for its fuel economy, exhaust and noise emissions. The manufacturer?s ecological credentials were also scored exemplary with regard to production, procurement, logistics and recycling.
