The year was about to end without a front-running entry on my list of Most Idiotic Press Releases of the Year. But suddenly a clear winner emerged, a Dec. 14 howler from the Competitive Enterprise Institute. It is entitled, ?Senate?s New Auto Fuel Standards Will Cost Lives.?
