Denver to part with 24 Prius'
The city of Denver will cull 24 Toyota Prius hybrid sedans from its fleet of 110 hybrid vehicles at auction Jan. 23 and Feb. 6. The city purchased the cars in 2001 and is selling them relatively early in their lifecycle to help maximize their cash value, said the city's fleet manager, Ernie Ivey. The cars still have a year left on their warranties and fewer than 100,000 miles on the odometers.
